Books are balanced at Bowling Green and a few others ... ??? ...

They "balance the books" with direct institutional support. The money paid from the university to the athletic department is technically considered AD revenue.

this list looks to be public debt/bond issues etc. Probably for facilities?? Akron was $62mm- which seems close to the construction cost for their football stadium about 10 years ago...
