2024 Opener vs WIU at Huskie Stadium
Always prefer an in-state FCS school as an opponent rather the Murray States and Cal Poly....Helps attendance.

I hope WIU is still around in 2024. Their enrollment may be under 4000 in 4 years. Their freshmen class for 2020 Spring Term was 733 students.

Makes no difference. It's supposed to rain that day. Forecast is for an all-day soaker.

Horrible take,

NIU is going nowhere but to bigger and better things. This will pass and NIU will be stronger for it.

Go Huskies!

What is wrong with you?
Why do you feel the need to post things like that?
It’s a difficult and depressing time and yet you feel the need to add to it.
How do comments like that help make this a place where people want to come?

RE: 2024 Opener vs WIU at Huskie Stadium
Agree.

Reminds me of an old saying, something about humans are the only creatures that dirty their own nests.

NOBODY knows where we'll be at in 2024, so taking it for what it is -- another in-state opponent at home, which STF said he was trying to do -- is a breath of fresh air, a positive moment we can enjoy.

BTW, home o-o-c games per fbschedules.com, for easy review:

2021: Wyoming, Maine
2022: Eastern Illinois, Vanderbilt
2023: Southern Illinois, Tulsa
2024: Western Illinois, UMass
2025: Holy Cross, Maryland
2026 (so far): Illinois State
2027: New Mexico State, UCF
2029 (so far): Missouri

("missing" years have no home games yet)

Negative comments have chased away some donors and recruits. It serves absolutely no purpose. The mods need to address this.

Former donors have cited MaddDawgz02 when given NIU's "Why are you no longer donating?" surveys.

+1

MD is on my ignore list but others constantly quote him and call him out. I can't avoid his negativity. It serves no purpose other than for him to get it off his chest, plus he gets recognition which seems to feed his constant rantings. He hasn't changed in years and won't change based upon your chastising. I'd be better off with him scrubbed from the board. I come here for my love of NIU but I SERIOUSLY doubt he loves NIU.

Did MD just get banned?

Who on Earth is now going to be the one to report all of the political posts to the mods?

As we all know, he was committed to cleaning up this place of all of the partisan political talk.

In all seriousness, this needed to be done. The definition of a troll is someone who posts with the sole intent of irritating other posters. A troll wants to punish other posters for some perceived slight and/or actually destroy the board.

ESPN's Cubs board was destroyed by a troll named Kenosha Mark years ago, and I saw another college board almost go down until its troll was banned.

Thanks to the mods for doing this.

He was out of control. Don't feel sorry for him, but I wonder what he is going to do with all of his free time now.

I know MD loves NIU. But it was a gloomy kind of love.

For he loved NIU so much, he despised Carey. For he loved NIU so much, he despised any political measure to prevent the joy that is MAC football in 2020. Be well my friend.

Former donors have cited MaddDawgz02 when given NIU's "Why are you no longer donating?" surveys.

Agree that MaddDawgz is thoroughly annoying, however, where is the proof that "negative comments have chased away some donors and recruits"?
What survey was done that produced responses citing MaddDawgz as the reason for no longer donating?
Pardon my skepticism, but not too sure those are either real and certainly not big donors who were run off by the ramblings of MaddDawgz.
