Former donors have cited MaddDawgz02 when given NIU's "Why are you no longer donating?" surveys.

Agree that MaddDawgz is thoroughly annoying, however, where is the proof that "negative comments have chased away some donors and recruits"?
What survey was done that produced responses citing MaddDawgz as the reason for no longer donating?
Pardon my skepticism, but not too sure those are either real and certainly not big donors who were run off by the ramblings of MaddDawgz.

He needed to be banned for highjacking every single thread......for far too long. He was well beyond annoying and was ruining this board.

Two-thirds of a thread focused on a poster whose situation has been dealt with. Let it go.

Four of the next six seasons (beginning 2021) now feature an in-state opponent at home. How is that not good news?

Maybe STF can get EIU and SIU to go for games at NIU in 2028 and 2029 ... start the "rotation" again.

RE: 2024 Opener vs WIU at Huskie Stadium
Yeah they were, being 2-0 and ranked #13 FCS at the time. Also, it was WIU's first-ever win over an FBS team. Not excusing it or making excuses. A loss is a loss.

What's more important, to me anyway, is the official attendance was 15,496, higher than the previous week's game vs. San Diego St. (14,513) and highest of six home games (including the "home" game vs Toledo in Chicago at 10,180).

After this Covid-19 is under control ... also got EIU here in 2022, SIU here in 2023, IllSt here in 2026 ... some good weather, some promotion as big in-state thing ... and get a rep for playing in-state opponents on a regular basis (unlike a certain team in Champaign that seems somewhat nervous and a certain Evanston team that turns up its nose ... imo, of course).

I like playing the in-state teams. If we are going to play an FCS make it a school that I have at least heard of and have friends/colleagues that have attended. Playing Presbyterian still bothers me.

We should feel so blessed to be playing Presbyterian and Holy Cross!

I mean no disrespect to anyone (no, really) but this has to be said ... it was really hard explaining to anyone why we were playing a team called the Blue Hose. It just took too much explaining that it was some kind of a sock thing dating back to the early 1900s ... or something ... like struggling to find a reason for the game or something. (C'mon. Fess up. How many of you did NOT make jokes?)

Presbyterian is only Division 1 because they wanted a cash infusion. They scheduled a payday football game with GT and two payday basketball games with GT. GT's one stipulation? You must be Division 1 so the football game counts towards bowl eligibility. Presbyterian took the deal. Now they're the Savannah State of SC: totally dependent upon payday games big and large. They're not long for the world of Division 1 and they probably should have never moved up to begin with.

+1

MD is on my ignore list but others constantly quote him and call him out. I can't avoid his negativity. It serves no purpose other than for him to get it off his chest, plus he gets recognition which seems to feed his constant rantings. He hasn't changed in years and won't change based upon your chastising. I'd be better off with him scrubbed from the board. I come here for my love of NIU but I SERIOUSLY doubt he loves NIU.

Who on Earth is now going to be the one to report all of the political posts to the mods?

As we all know, he was committed to cleaning up this place of all of the partisan political talk.

MD didn't stop me from donating, but he certainly kept me away from this forum. Good riddance, and please don't let him back anytime soon.
