International Player from United Arab Emirates
Anyone know anything about a basketball player we are recruting from the United Arab Emirates? He is either from Dubai or Abu Dhabi

Population of Dubai is 3.3 million and Abu Dhabi is 1.5 million, so there are a lot of players there. Maybe it's an untapped talent pool worth going after. It's a very westernized area. I have been there several times. Anyone else been there and know the difference between Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Chickenfoot did a wicked song called "Dubai Blues". Sammy Hagar on vocals, Satriani on guitar, Chad Smith on the drums and Michael Anthony on bass-I miss that supergroup.

I also appreciate DadHumor.

You offer an icon of Led Zep (one of the all-time rock greats and among my 10 favorites) and then reference Chickenfoot, a silly and sophomoric band (despite the clearly talented players). This must rank among the most noteworthy "contrasting musical group posts" I've read on this board.

To be fair, Chickenfoot does have one song (I can't recall the title) that I find quite strong. Maybe I need to be more open-minded about the band.

The closest we will ever see to Led is Greta Van Fleet. The lead singer sounds like Plant.

I’m a Chickenfoot fan mainly because I “discovered “ Satriani in the 80’s and have always been in awe of his skill and range. And my favorite Chickenfoot song is “come closer” from their second (and last?) album. But I love a bunch of old gritty players who don’t take themselves too seriously.04-cheers
