Will Football Move to a Pay Per View Model?
A thought I've had is one way for the P5 to grow revenue for games is is they had the biggest regular season contests on PPV.

For example if its 70 dollars to watch the Ohio St vs. Michigan game and 1 million people buy it that is 70 million in revenue just for one game not factoring expenses.

With ESPN now offering to ESPN+ members the ability to order PPV events could it work for football (college or pro?)

It could be a way of lowering the base value of TV contracts. The conferences could then turn around and split the pot of PPV revenue among member schools.

If that produced more revenue you wouldn't have conference networks. That is what schools used to do but they found a more profitable way.
