They hope to resume play in the spring 2021 semester:

SWAC, Ivy, Patriot, and now Hampton of the Big South. FCS is starting to vanish.

And it sounds like FBS will try a "conference only" season.

I wonder if the bigger FCS conferences will go the same route.

I have a feeling a lot of season ticket holders will make this an opportunity to retire out of their seats and not come back.

SWAC hasn't cancelled yet.

I think it’s in poor taste for Hampton to cancel fall sports before the Big South reached a collective action plan.

Well, they had already announced no on-campus instruction for fall. It would have been difficult to justify sports. I presume they kept the Big South informed about their moves. Can't imagine they would have moved unilaterally without conference blessing. Certainly when you're still the new kid in town.
