Thanks. Not that bad for me so far. Headache and low grade fever. My son's had it worse, been like a pretty rough "stomach flu" for about a week. The headache is fierce for both of us.
How old is your son? Which of you infected the other ( or did both of you appear to get it from someone else)?? Just curious, not trying to be nosy. Your answers might be illuminating ( and eye opening) for some of those who are doubters about many aspects of this pandemic.
He's 23, ex college athlete who is still in very good shape. He started feeling poorly last Wednesday. Got tested on Friday. He was real sick (GI) this weekend but hasn't had any fever. He's also been real congested with a sporadic cough.
I'm 52 and exercise regularly. No real underlying conditions. I started feeling kinda crappy on Saturday but didn't have any fever until Monday. So far for me it's been a low grade fever and constant headache. Fatigue and headache our common symptoms. He's slowly improving but still feels "really weird". I've stayed about the same since Monday.
We've both worn masks and tried to follow recommendations since the beginning of this ordeal. Did the best we could. Hope nobody else on BlazerTalk catches it but that's probably not realistic.
Thanks for sharing... I wish both of you a speedy and complete recovery.. Keep us posted.

Time to face reality: ‘No one is playing college football in the fall’

Just one team right?
Now MLB & the MLBPA are discussing 7-inning double headers to allow time for all the makeup games. I would say it’s getting silly, but we’re just over a month from NFL so peak silliness could come later this year.

Whomever it was, he's not wrong. And you know that sentiment (forge ahead!!) would/will be cheered loudly in and around the SEC footprint.

On the same call there was a Mississippi State player who kept calling them out (or maybe it was a call with the President of MSU) and basically was told "be a role model to your peers about wearing a mask and staying home and hope for the best"
This is going to be a disaster, either from players getting sick or I think we're very close to players maybe refusing to play

The mlb debacle shows exactly why college football is not going to work this season. We may get in 3-4 games.

Who makes that call? In FBS, the NCAA doesn't have the power...as we're witnessing with each conference making up their own rules.

Good question. I'd guess the individual conferences and schools, but who knows.

No one knows where the buck stops with MLB, and they have both unified management and unified labor. College football is going to be a disaster with some schools cancelling, some going ahead. Some players going on strike/sitting out. Probably a few entire teams doing it at the player level even when the school was going to play.
And then the dead. There will be dead players and coaches and refs.

Time to face reality: ‘No one is playing college football in the fall’
At least MLB has 2 clear decision makers at the table in the MLB owners and the MLBPA. If college football starts to spiral...I mean, who has the balls to tell SEC fans “we’re done for this year?” They’ve already been playing the “we’ll see what other conferences decide” card.

RE: Time to face reality: ‘No one is playing college football in the fall’
If we could get around politics, why not give athletes the option to take HCQ once per week or two, however it’d be recommended by doctors that actually see patients outside of ERs?
Somehow the Braves are managing to keep away from the virus for the most part. I guess it comes down to personally responsibility with pro athletes. The Marlins were out on the town(Every night) when they came up to play the Braves. They return to Miami testing positive. Of course, we didn’t get any info on whether or not anybody has symptoms.
Can college athletes avoid getting “it” by simply only going to practice, then returning to dorms/apartments? I imagine many of them have part time jobs, too.
Think the Pac 12 players are trying to unionize or something. Not paying it too much attention, to be honest.
If sports get cancelled, they just do.
We get told to listen to the CDC. They say go back to school, we put in ear plugs.

REMEMBER!! The NCAA is essentially a private club made up of member universities whose Presidents are their official spokespersons. Neither coaches nor players are members of the NCAA. That is why the NCAA can only get at a coach by having a "SHOW CAUSE" edict addressed to the schools while players come and go yearly. When a coach or player does some embarrassing act, fans complain that the school gets punished and not the offending coach or player. The reason is that a club by its own acts can't punish persons who are not members of that club.

Actually, MLB told the MLBPA Friday that if they can't get a handle on the players following protocols then they will shut it all down. Oh, and the CBA expires after 2021 so just wonderful times to be a baseball fan...
Fortunately we still get to enjoy poetry like this...for now:
Double play as art

What I find interesting is that I don't know of a P5 conference who is willing to talk about what defines the line where they pull the plug. It's almost like they don't want to commit to defining the breaking point so they can ignore it and keep right on playing.
We've already got an MLB player with cardiac damage from Covid. Given the number of football players and how the law of averages work, I very much fear that we'll see a player die of corona. There are thousands of players and a 1 to 1.5% mortality rate says that it probably happens.

Yes to all of this. There will be no goal posts set so they don't get in trouble for moving them.

Are you counting all thousands of asymptotic people that are never tested in your mortality rate?
