Assuming no 2020 Fall or 2021 Spring Football
Assuming there is no Football (not even conference only play) at all for the 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring season what is the likelihood or your thoughts about all teams scheduling shifting to 2021? Essentially all schedules just skip a year.
All teams 2020 schedules are played in 2021... 2021 played in 2022... 2022 played in 2023 etc..

That's what should happen, but legally I think there would be too many hurdles to overcome. Contracts state that the games are supposed to be played in specific years or not at all.

I would think it's not a problem to move non-conference games back other than one-off, neutral-site games which could have scheduling conflicts (which could be moved to campuses).

I think you have to figure out a way to at least havr conference play in the spring. If that means pushing back the start to the 2021 fall season by a month then you do that. I don’t think very many schools in the sun belt or hell East Carolina can take the hit of no college football. You have to play it in the spring Then give them a little extra time before the start of the 21 season

There aren’t any Sun Belt schools who can afford moving forward without a money game. So playing in front of no fans in the Fall or the usual sparse crowds in the Spring doesn’t make a huge difference financially.

If no big money games, no fans for home games, and assuming TV and bowl payouts change, too much damage will have been done to even worry about having spring football, just to cause more damage for the next season, NFL draft hopefuls and so many other conflicts. so to answer the OP, its would seems easy enough and wise to just push all schedules to next season, and call this year a break from sports!
