Problem is, this might be the start of a trend too - and we could see something similar before it's all over.

Entertainers are overpaid. They don't teach school, patrol the streets, build neighborhoods, or do anything useful when they are 'at work'.

They provide entertainment and we all pay them way too much and some pay too much attention to their opinions.

Lebron James is a great basketball player - I don't give a **** what he thinks about anything else.

Tom Hanks is a great actor. I don't give a **** what he thinks about anything else.

Absolutely my friend!

What is this right to free speech you speak of? It no longer exists in this country unless it fits the mainstream liberal media's definition of 'correct'. If Drew Brees had said the same things Jackson had said he would no longer be employed and you damn well know it.

There's a storm brewing and to tell you the truth it's long past time for a reckoning.

Jesus Christ dude. Do you know what freedom of speech is?

It means Drew Brees, or anyone else, is protected from arrest for what he says (within very very broad reason).

Nobody took Brees' right to say what he did away.

Are you really that blind. Anyone with anything to lose will be ruined by the cancel culture bs. You WILL agree and you WILL comply or you will lose everything you have. Even silence is dangerous these days.

Every athlete will be forced to kneel during the National Anthem at all sporting events whether they want to or not or they will be done.

Watch and see. Dissenting opinions or even 'not being sure' will not be tolerated.

Yeah, no.

NFL will just as soon keep players in their locker rooms before they will happen.

The real question is, why do we? I mean, admit it. If LeBron came out and said something that totally backed your world view, you would be going SEE???? SEEE??? LeBron says XYZ!!!!

I said a month ago that I thought that conference games only was likely to be a best case. Somebody jumped on me about it, and now Big 10 and Pac 12 are all going conference games only. The other conferences will follow suit like dominos.

That's the best case right now, and no football is looking more and more likely.

Look, all they need to do is move the season start date to November 7th. Covid will magically disappear the previous Wednesday...

What would you have preferred he do? He put in place travel bans, even in the face of being called a racist because of it. He gave Fouci and co. carte blanche for months. He arranged for masks and respirators to be acquired/manufactured as needed. The only thing that would have made anything he did acceptable to people like you is if he changed the letter after his name from ® to (D).

I doubt he went for 47,000. Sure the pandemic had something to do with that. And being able to get better players and play better competition...
