I forgot Wagner is a part of the NEC conference which suspended/postponed Fall sports. So, Wagner is a no-go for Miami. Let's go UAB...

Hope we can keep at least one tune up game prior to Miami if they follow through with playing us in week 2 or 3.

I read on twitter 2 weeks ago that we’d be doing 10 walkthroughs leading into Aug 5, which would be opening of fall camp.

Not necessarily. From NEC Conf website:

“A start date of September 10 has been set for both conference and non-conference competition; football programs are permitted to play non-conference games prior to September 10 as per institutional discretion.”

Given that, Wagner could decide to proceed with playing the Miami game to secure their payday.

Miami didn't get spring practice due to Covid. They get one OOC game, and they need a tune up badly since they are installing a new offense. Beating up on Temple would do little to challenge them. While I have my reservations about taking the team into Plague Central in Miami, I think there's a pretty good reason to believe that we still play. I look at how things are going for baseball and doubt that we get a full season in, but it would be nice to whip Miami's ass. We have a stout veteran D and they're putting in a new offense with a new QB. I like our chances.

Taking back to back losses to C-USA teams would set their message boards on fire.

I was in Miami for work a month ago. It's not that much different from here as long as you are responsible enough to take care of yourself. Unfortunately many people in south Florida remain in full time party mode.
