Thanks for posting. One of the replies to that article, "They know they can't match up against us speed and physicality wise. So what they'll end up doing is trying to beat us with scheme and execution."
Guy clearly didn't read the article as 2/3 of it talked about how gigantic UAB's ends are.

Our most effective OLB/DE last night was Nikia Eason with 3 tackles and 2 sacks. Smith and Wright were very quiet, both with one tackle each. I focused in on Smith in the 2nd half and he was handled by the UCA LT.

I thought Smith provided a lot of pressure on the QB.

If you saw a lot of pressure on their QB, then we just saw different things. I saw pressure at times but not what I expected vs an FCS O-line. Two tackles and no sacks from our starters on the edges isn't going to cut it against the rest of our schedule.

RE: Five takeaways on UAB's defense
I thought there was good pressure on the QB most of the night that forced him to throw quicker than he wanted to & hits just after he threw the ball with at least 1 roughing the QB penalty and a couple of others that could have been called. Also, the DBs played pretty well as the QB often had to go to secondary receivers who were covered most times, too. I agree a better showing against a FCS school should be expected, but I also think HCBC was holding some things back - offensively and defensively.

Marino was doubled alot when he was in at DT and that helped the ends for sure
