This probably deserves a separate thread tracking conference responses to the increase in corona virus cases. Ivy League schools have suspended fall season sports. They currently leave open the possibility of having those seasons in the spring.

I'm still hopeful that the startup of NBA games beginning July 30, MIGHT prove successful enough that other conferences will continue following their example. And major league baseball is supposed to start a 60 game season on July 23. Success will encourage others to follow. And vice versa.

It doesn’t surprise me that the Ivies would do this. I hope at least we can get a conference only schedule this year for football. I know we need to be safe and careful and this and that, but can folks really be expected to hide inside their homes until the end of time? Nothing says that a vaccine will be available soon. We are just hoping at this point. So frustrating.
