I realize this is mostly Doeren/NCSU doing a favor for one of his "mentors." McNeill was ACH under Mike Leach at Texas Tech. He held the same position at Virginia and Oklahoma. He seems to be more defense oriented. He had a couple of good teams at ECU. Still, I don't see him having a big impact at State.

It can't hurt...he seems well loved in NC

We will see. We had a deal with Oklahoma State for 14 and 15, and LSU for 16 and 20 and they bailed. Of course we fired the dumb ass AD who signed deals that were so cheap to cancel.

I like the hire. He was very popular at ECU and they haven't been the same since he left.

I like the hire. He was very popular at ECU and they haven't been the same since he left. He got a raw deal, but it was part of an administration power play between ECU's President, ECU's BOT members, and several of the UNC Board of Governor's, with the damn Hospital System all mixed into the mess.
