Aye, a 10-game conference round robin would make sense, and it would be one for the history books.

Why does no one want to play the actual season anymore?

There won’t be football, and the logistics of playing it in the spring would make it impossible to then play another season 2 months later.

Either there will be fall football or no football at all.

Just play a normal 12-game schedule in the spring. If all conferences get on board it wouldn't be hard to pull off (maybe have to replace some FCS opponents).

Crap, if they move it to spring the extra rain will probably cost the Tigers a couple games, but whatever needs to be done to keep the kids and fans safe.

At least y'all won't have to play in a tropical storm.

RE: If there is no football this season.......
My prediction all along has been that the pros will figure it out and play some sort of season coming up, and FBS and D1 will play football and basketball at some point in some form, even if it's next spring. Assuming things get better by then.

College students aren't pro players, and college admin types are generally risk averse, so with the increase in cases, even if deaths stay relatively flat, they aren't going to take chances.

It's not about flattening the curve with colleges. It's about not letting anybody get sick, and I think that's impossible, especially with that age group.

If it goes to spring ball, there could be some very interesting opening games scheduled at the bowls. There is some potential to have some real fun with the bowl lineups.

Doesn't look like it's going to spring ball in some places. Fall ball. Conference only. I think the SEC does the same.

I hope SEC lets ECU play SC this year. I think SEC & AAC should stand firm about playing full schedule if we're gonna play at all.

Seems ACC will be conference only, for sure now.

With the B1G and the ACC going conference only, I bet the SEC and the Big 12 will follow suit. And the AAC, as well.

I think the Pac 12 may not play at all. Or not until spring, conference only.

Depending on conditions, these conferences might space their games out, which would move some into September. But who knows. Could play all up front, all at the end, space out... Much more flexibility.

ESPN/FOX/CBS are going to realize how big of a mistake it was to pay these mega-deals to conferences. The AAC deal is somewhat fair, so I wouldn't be shocked if we got to keep our money.

1. Will all players get another year of eligibility? How would you classify them? Would a senior who graduates this fall be able to still play next year?

2. Will players still be able to enter the draft without having a year to help their draft stock?

3. Will there be any government assistance to help colleges stay afloat who need football revenue to survive?

4. Will the games scheduled for this year be moved to next year or will we just start anew with next years schedule?

5. Will TV contracts still be honored?

1) No. Graduates. No.

2) Yes.

3) Yes (unfortunately)

4) No

5) No

Life will move on from square one either in the Spring (my hope) or more likely, in the Fall of 2021.

Nothing will carry over.

Interesting topic, with a variety of sub-questions:

1) Will there be 2020 bowl games in December/January?

2) Will it depend on whether there is any season before December (i.e., could there be bowl games even if there isn't a Sept-Nov. season)?

3) Could the bowl games be held as pre-season games, to kick off a regular spring FB season?

4) If so, would they count in the standings as OOC games?

5) If yes, and if there is a spring FB season, would the season end with conference championship games or would there be post-season games (presumably in June)?

In the end there will be no Fall college sports this year, FB will not be conf only, nor will it be in the Spring. It is dead and buried. The AD's are living in la la land.
