Ajac Triplett averaged 14.6 ppg and 10.6 rpg as a 6’3 forward. You’d have to be nuts to put Tucker Haymond above him.

Season long separated shoulder.

“Head of the train”.

Couldn’t shoot worth a lick outside of twisting layups first two years. Buries both Ball State and CMU in back to back games junior year when healthy.
Quietly worked on his game and improved immensely.

True! Ajac was a baller! Other than Manny Newsome, he was the best basketball player at WMU, back in the Stone Age, when I was a student.

Triplett missed all of one and most of another season with knee injuries. But he could really play, especially defense and rebounding.

Ford and Lacefield were frontcourt players (Forwards), not Guards.

Don Boven who was WMU's first NBA player and a Coaches' Association (NABC) All-American should be in there.

Boven is a simple and correct replacement for Nate Hutchinson. Again I find some of this laughable.

And yes you look at Tripletts three-year stats and can see he played nine games in year one and after that full seasons.

Kenny Cunningham? No! Conor Tava is much better.

Jasper McElroy averaged 18.2 ppg and 6.4 rpg.

Have a seat Anthony Kann.

Triplett played all of 1962-63 and 1963-64 seasons, missed entire 1964-65 campaign, then played first nine games of 1965-66 before reinjuring his knee.

Chronologically bass Ackwards. Ajac should easily make the list.

Tough to compare athletes in any sport from different eras.

Going to be a lot of "recency bias" in selections.

Not only that.

It's a totally different game now.

Shot clock.

3 point line.

Player (individual) skills
