They appear to be in a lot of trouble financially. They recently terminated a $280m deal with UCLA. They've now dropped Cal as well, an $86m contract. Others with deals announced since 2015 but no presence on the company store: Old Dominion, UAB, Georgia State, Kent State and Coastal Carolina. UAB announced it's deal would run through 2023. Georgia State's said 2024. ODU's contract was announced in 2015 as a five-year deal and may be expiring naturally. Coastal (2016) and Kent State (2017) did not specify the time frames.

UA stock was at $25.11 a year ago. It closed today at $8.70, down 53 percent YTD.

UAB's contract with UA was only 7 years, $350,000 ($50,000 a year) so I think they can manage that financially. The UCLA contract was ridiculous in the first place.

If you think that's bad wait wait until the SEC gets done sniffing around as to why UA has been churning through so many CFOs in such a short period of time. The scuttlebutt is that maybe somebody was pushing inventory into warehouses and retail and reporting that as sold inventory instead of just stocked inventory.

Didn't UA give Jordan Spieth a lifetime contract when he left UT-Austin?

He was dominating but has slowly been falling off the radar the last couple of years...

Damn, that sucks. UA was my go-to brand for Crossfit gear that wasn’t exclusive to Reebok (like the Nano model shoes were made by Reebok specifically for different CrossFit workouts). At one point, walking through a Dick’s store, I thought UA was kicking Nike’s tail in style and function.

I'd advocate going back to Russell....when Russell comes back to Alabama. Hell, I think most of their old mills are still available, sitting empty.
