The Midwestern conferences could be fixed. Why are the directional Michigan schools with mostly schools west of the Mississippi?

How about

Great Mideast: All Ohio and Michigan schools (Akron, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami Ohio, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio, Ohio State, Toledo, Western Michigan)

Mid-American: All Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia schools (Ball State, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Notre Dame, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, West Virginia)

Great Midwest: All Illinois schools, Rest of current Great Midwest other than Michigan schools (Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Northwestern, North Dakota State, Wisconsin)

Don't see any other major geographical out of placements.

It is not me. I would love to see all 10 conferences go to 16 to make it 160 teams in FBS. Would bring more G5 schools into the P5 andmore FCS schools that do not belong at FCS be brought up.

There are not 30 FCS schools that belong in the FBS, but there probably are 30 that should be D2, maybe a few that should be D3.
