Ford is only a JR, right? Who said that he is leaving? After the end of the year performance this year, I don't think it's a sure thing that he leaves.

He has been slowed by injuries. If the scouts tell him he could go in the first 4 rounds, he should go. RBs don’t last long.

Mike Warren is a lesson for Ford. The world is flush with good running backs. I think Ford would be a UDFA. His first goal should be a diploma if he has not graduated. And yes, I love having him as a Bearcat.

Yes we do. Only the coaches know what Prater’s skill level is. I was worried about depth this year but Des has stayed healthy. Suffering the Browns game last night Lamar Jackson showed the value of a mobile QB - like Des. That said, Jackson is beyond mobile and Baker is physically broken and a shadow of himself.

I think fans are a little irrational when it comes to the qb situation. We won 11 games with an unheralded redshirt freshman a few years ago. Take Prater as the starter out of it, but if we got into needing a backup Lichtenberg was pretty well regarded coming in. I don't think it's unreasonable to think that as a redshirt freshman we could have some success.

RE: Dillon Gabriel
Qb depth and competition is always critical. Obviously Prather has the chops from what we've seen, but I think until he's a regular his durability is likely going to be a concern because of his style and likelihood of playing a full season running the ball without getting injuries. I wonder where Richesson is in terms of being ready to play at the college level. My guess is at least a year away. It will be interesting to see what they do there. Not sure there is a right or wrong answer.

Ford has far more talent than Warren ever did. Its far better to take your shot now, nothing will stop you from coming back and getting your degree if you don't make it. Hell, a year on the practice squad will pay more than any job he could land with his degree right out of school, and the experience will be far better on a resume.

That's a terrible comparison considering Warren is not an NFL caliber running back. Ford probably has .3 seconds on him in the 40, not exaggerating. Avoid injury and get that check as soon as possible if you're a RB.

Learn these lyrics:
O Canada! our home and native land!*
True patriot-love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
And stand on guard, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.

[Chorus:]
O Canada, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada! where pines and maples grow,
Great prairies spread, and lordly rivers flow.
How dear to us thy broad domain,
From East to Western sea.
The land of hope for all who toil,
The True North strong and free!

[Chorus:]
O Canada, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada! beneath our shining skies,
May stalwart sons, and gentle maidens rise.
To keep thee steadfast through the years,
From east to western sea,
Our own beloved native land,
Our true north strong and free!

[Chorus:]
O Canada, glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Ruler Supreme! who hearest humble prayer,
Hold thy Dominion in thy loving care;
Help us to find, Oh God, in thee,
A lasting rich reward.
As waiting for the Better Day,
We ever stand on guard.

O Canada, Glorious and free! Amen

RE: Dillon Gabriel
I would say only reason for Ford to come back would be to improve his draft position. Most mock drafts have him rounds 4-6, so I think he comes back if he can move up to say 3rd round or higher.

Impressive. I wonder how long it took you to hunt and peck that out.
