They tried that here in Kentucky when they threatened to tear down a Confederate Monument in Brandenburg, KY. Brandenburg is a small rural community just over 40 miles from Louisville.
When BLM got there, with their Antifa lapdogs, they found Patriots surrounding the monument. They actually complained to the Brandenburg Police that the Patriots had guns and were keeping them from “protesting” at the monument. The police promptly arrested some BLM members for weapons charges.
The only violence anyone saw was when an Antifa POS tried to grab a flag from a Patriot as he rode by in a car. He leaned out to far, was dragged out of the window and was promptly beaten. This was according to a post by the driver on Facebook. The post complained that the Patriots broke the Antifa kids glasses. The post also complained that on their way home to Louisville from Brandenburg the police stopped them and they got a ticket for not wearing seatbelts. Karma...lol
Quote:Three NATO officials say they had been briefed on intelligence that Russian operatives were secretly offering cash bounties to Taliban-linked militants for US casualties in Afghanistan — as President Donald Trump claimed he was not, and dismissed news reports on the intelligence as a "possibly another fabricated Russia Hoax."
The revelation that US intelligence had briefed the White House on the Taliban bounties had been a closely-held secret for several months, until US officials began briefing UK and other European allies last week.
The intelligence was first reported Friday in The New York Times and has since been widely confirmed.
Over the weekend, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said neither Trump nor Vice President Mike Pence had been briefed on the intelligence. And on Sunday, Trump tweeted that US intelligence "did not find this info credible" and did not report it to him or Pence, calling the Times report "possibly another fabricated Russia Hoax."
However, three NATO military officials told Insider on Monday they had been briefed by US intelligence of the potential threat, with two of them saying they were given the briefing about one week ago. None of the three officials have permission to be named in the press, but their identities are known to Insider.
"We were briefed [by the Americans] on a potential threat to our troops in Afghanistan from operatives potentially linked to the Russian intelligence services," one NATO military intelligence official told Insider on Monday.
"There is no indication that our troops — or any non-US NATO troops — have been targeted in these attacks, but all NATO services with casualties in Afghanistan over the past two years are currently checking for any connections."
Two other NATO officials — who represent countries with troops who regularly support the NATO mission in Afghanistan — confirmed similar briefings. Twenty-six coalition members were killed in Afghanistan in 2019.
So much for it being nothing worry about or a hoax. Credible enough that we had warned allies over it. Still no proof Trump or Pence knew.

Listened to press sec just now: president not notified because in the IC there are conflicting opinions (or no consensus) on the validity of this information, wanted to wait before notifying him if it was one way or the other.

Not necessarily true. Its absolutely poossible---and in fact--likley---that it is a hoax. Were the NATO sources "briefed" as to it being a fact that Russia was offering bounties---or were they briefed to see if they had any information that might indicate it was true? Your own article answers that question. It flat out states that "There is no indication that our troops — or any non-US NATO troops — have been targeted in these attacks, but all NATO services with casualties in Afghanistan over the past two years are currently checking for any connections."
So it appears it was a sharing of raw intelligence in an attempt to see if there was anything of substance to the report and it was NOT a "briefing" of confirmed facts.
In other words---the NY Times has once again printed unconfirmed rumor as "fact". Furthermore, the Times has claimed they "confirmed" their story with multiple sources---when in fact, they have only confirmed that the "rumor" exists with multiple sources. Furthermore, in another error----the Times completely manufactures a report that the president knew of this "fact" when the information had never been reported to the president or vice president (precisely because intelligence does not know it it is confirmed or not).
The Times has become utter garbage that is no longer even the least bit credible---a fact we have seen over and over and over again for the last 4 years. Its the National Enquirer of politics.

Quote:Top White House officials briefed seven House Republicans on Monday on the ongoing controversy surrounding an alleged Russian bounty scheme for Afghani militants to kill US soldiers.
White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, and national security adviser Robert O'Brien met with the seven GOP lawmakers on Monday afternoon in the White House Situation Room to discuss the Russia bounty allegations.
Attending the meeting were House Republican Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney, Foreign Affairs ranking member Michael McCaul, Armed Services ranking member Mac Thornberry, and four others in prominent national security and leadership positions.
Jim Banks
@RepJimBanks
I just left the White House where I was briefed by CoS @MarkMeadowsand top intelligence officials. They discussed @nytimes' hit piece falsely accusing @realDonaldTrump of ignoring reports that Russia placed bounties on American soldiers in Afghanistan.
The real scandal: We’ll likely never know the truth… Because the @nytimes
used unconfirmed intel in an ONGOING investigation into targeted killing of American soldiers in order to smear the President. The blood is on their hands.
Having served in Afghanistan during the time the alleged bounties were placed, no one is angrier about this than me.
Now it’s impossible to finish the investigation. All b/c the
@nytimes will do anything to damage @realdonaldtrump
, even if it means compromising nat'l security.

Well done prog filth nitwits.

Well done. That crap may play well in shitehole cities but not in God's country
I am wondering what the liars have cooked up for an October surprise. Boy it’s got to be a doozy. Maybe something like Trump is a cross dresser and having a mad affair with Lindsey Graham.

And if they are aware of it and think it’s true—why havent any NATO counties done anything about it? No sanctions? Why hasnt Germany cancelled the Russian oil deal? Why isnt this a big deal to those counties. Come on NY Times—-.why don’t you have answers to basic questions? Why no verification or minimal reporting standards?
Simple common sense shows this unverified and shaky. If it was considered fact—then other NATO nations would be demanding action, imposing sanctions, and selling arms to Ukraine.

It was a beautiful thing watching the locals prepare for this engagement. You would have thought they had been preparing for this all their lives.

If you refuse to be briefed, you can say you didn't know. That's the genius of our dear leader.
How do you know this?
He doesn't read the briefings
Idiotic. Can Democrats read above a 3rd grade level.
Saw a tweet today that on the date he supposedly received the PDB he was meeting with Diamond & Silk. So if true, he clearly had more pressing matters.
