If I understand this correctly, they are saying that basically college bands would not be able to perform pre-game, on field during the game, or post-game. They can only perform in the stands. Even due to social distancing guidelines, if they are seated in the stands, there has to be proper separation. Does this make sense when the players themselves will be next to and literally on top of each other?

The more I read this stuff, the less I think there will be football in the fall.

Agreed, DF. I was beginning to get optimistic about things a week or two ago, but not anymore.

After many years of being an obsessed sports fan, I finally am throwing in the towel on them all. Even if sports ever do return, even those are going to be political lectures without the focus on the sporting events and not worth it.

"Clemson announced Friday that 14 football players tested positive for the coronavirus over the past week, bringing the total number of cases on the team over the past month to 37 -- roughly one-third of the roster."

Can't see fall football happening. NBA and MLB experiments will soon provide further information as to whether or not fall FB is realistic.

I would certainly not want to sit near someone coughing and sneezing. However, I will still encourage the young ladies to sit on my lap. And, I promise not to sneeze or cough.

Why is NIU all lawyered up and not keeping us inform on how many players they have tested and the results? Clemson and many other schools have posted results but not our NIU.

Does that mean I can't sit on your lap anymore? I only occasionally cough and sneeze.

No! There is and always will be a place for you on my lap. Unless, of course, I get a better offer.
