He's sellling a product and AD bought. Sounds like someone went to a conference and got drunk and schmoozed. It's this "TedX" fake academic atmosphere that's taking hold. People with marketing degrees and no degrees or experiencce in education or grass roots socialology selling self-help educational symposiums because, free money. They go straight to the admins, who by-pass any input for practitioners.

If a university can not provide this kind of experience without going outside the doors, there's bigger problems. There's at least a couple recently graduated athletes that could have provided this training having hands on experience.

lol, just looked up his bio. Marketing degree it was and in sports. Well, at least that's what his company teaches so not a big leap. UT just following Miami's lead, who announced last month. But someone needs look up "saturated." He maybe will show up one day, maybe on video then some employee will do the rest. This isn't going to attract recruits.

I'm still not sure why they didn't just get Andrew Hawkins. There was another recent grad, I forget who, who has been building a good brand for himself. Or they could just assign the book to a marketing class for any student to take.

Wonder what the head coaches really think? Over hyped at first glance...must be getting this for free. Over hype and under deliver from here.

Interesting how hard UT is promoting this on twitter. Nearly every coach and a whole bunch of the players have retweeted the above tweet saying pretty much this is one of the greatest things in the history of UT sports. Never seen such an organized campaign about any specific thing before. Maybe this is seen as a necessary recruiting tool with the new rules about player identity rights. I dunno.
