I have listened to problem after problem,which I'm sure you guys have as well.This is one place if you would allow it,that we can shut down the negatives,we are all odu fans,as well as a community.I for one want to hear some more positive atories.Give them to me,since march the world has been terrible,but I don't believe all terrible give me something good that has happened to you personally and it doesn't have to be sports.My coping mechanism and my story is that my daughter said that I should share memories with you and they have been great,now I want to here some awesome recent stuff.Help me out

This is my challange to you.I believe people want to hear some good stuff.I know I do.

We had our daughter June 11th. 3rd child. So, in 3 or so years that's another season ticket for the school. =]

I know that I have allowed myself to become one of the downers on this board. I have, what at least I consider to be, valid justification for that. But that is my own set of problems, not any of yours. It is truly a privilege to post on this forum. I hope that my own negativity does not spill over to others, who I am sure have their own set of concerns that are equally (and in many cases more) important than mine.

My personal sense is that our country is convulsing. We will go one of two ways -- we will either emerge from this stronger, or we will unravel our current structures and devolve into some kind of new socialist-inspired utopia. I hope for the former, but will at least stick around for the ride if it turns out to be the latter.

I don't have anything so momentous to share but I did install a zip line on my property recently. It's pretty awesome. I figured if we were spending more time at home I was going to make it as fun as I can. Rope swing up next.

Doing better at golf,having a zip line and a rope swing all sound wonderful. I'm loving it.great stories,my wife has been reading this thread and wanted to share that she is not a sports fanatic like me or my daughter,but lives this thread.she is very happy about the new ones on the way and she wanted to tell the world what gets her through these tough times.19 years ago,we were surprised that she became pregnant after we were told after 10 years of marriage she couldn't get pregnant. Amber was born with transposition of the great arteries and required open heart surgery on the night she was born and 2 more in that first week,basically she was not getting oxygen to the heart.she is fine now and you would never know that there was anything wrong with her other than a tiny scar and that she gets checked every year.My wife says having her here is truly her good news and she can face whatever the world has.She is so happy to hear about the new monarch fans here and on the way. Congratulations. That's our story. I want to here more awesome stories. Can't wait to see you on the zip line lol

I also now need to go buy a 2nd brick and get "...and Cameryn!" on it. Hope they can get it near our existing one hah.

COVID has sucked in so many ways, but my wife and I are still employed and productive, my two boys (15 and 12) are more close than they have ever been, I am able to lap swim again at the Y (which matters so much for my physical and mental state), we watch far less TV now and take more walks, my yard (while still nothing to brag about) looks the best it ever has, our family eats dinner together and prays every evening, and our family has learned to again enjoy simple conversation with no distractions.

Grateful for what I have. Terrified of events I cannot control, but doing pretty damned well on those things I can.
