Georgia Tech ACC TV $$ payout amount for 2020
Georgia Tech Tech received $29.2 million for Fiscal 2020, which was under the projected $31.8 million in part because of the cancellation of the ACC men’s basketball tournament.

Georgia Tech projects $32.5 million from the ACC in fiscal 2021.

FSU ACC money??? On MAY 30, 2019

FSU had budgeted $32,076,07, an increase of $2.37 million from the projected 2018-19 distribution. The additional revenue factors in money expected from the new ACC Network.

On 4/17/2020 Athletics director David Coburn told the Florida State University Board of Trustees ACC schools lost an estimated $2.2 million to $2.5 million apiece due to the cancellations of the conference and NCAA basketball tournaments. The losses would be in the tens of millions without football, which funds the majority of sports in college athletics budgets.

So I would think that FSU ACC Money for Fiscal 2020 was 29,876,007

So the boost in TV money is roughly offsetting COVID loses at GT.

RE: Georgia Tech ACC TV $$ payout amount for 2020
SEC reportedly paid an average of $44.6M per school for fiscal 2019-20.
AJC indicates the ACC paid GT $29.2M; assuming they're about average, the difference is $44.6 - $29.2 = $15.4M

That's an insane revenue gap.

Like the payout of an extra 3-4 bowl games a year PER team. crazy.

Well let's put it this way: with another $15m in TV revenue GT not only wouldn't have to furlough anybody or have mandatory unpaid time off for everybody making over $150k/yr like was stated in the AJC article. And they'd have essentially an extra brand new non-revenue facility every year on top as gravy. $15m/yr may not sound too horrible. But by the time the ACC contract with ESPN is up for renewal that will be a $240,000,000 disparity per team. That's half of a brand new entire from the ground up built from scratch football stadium.

Great job Swofford.

Actually not to bad since the ACC Network did not even launch until August and Comcast is not even on board yet. When you then consider that the ACC MBB & WBB Conf tourney and March Madness was Canx... The TV dollars ensured the $$$ Gap wasn't greater!

The SEC, GTS, will have 13 years under its new contract at 67 million per school in payouts for 13 years before the ACC renews. So the gap will be a lot larger than 240 million.

Basically, there will be a P2 with a few (very few) outliers like Texas.
