Spring Football?
Interesting thought. Might be worth while to let the NFL and NBA play out their seasons and learn from their mistakes. Perhaps a vaccine could be available by this time as well.

Thoughts?

Spring FBS football?

Play two full seasons of college football in maybe 9-10 months?
Really bad idea.

RE: Spring Football?
It appears to be all systems go for fall football around the country, although it remains to be seen what the season will look like given that Covid is spiking in half the states and it's not even flu season. It seems that linemen leaning on each other all game would be a perfect mechanism for transmitting Covid. Once that happens, do all the linemen have to quarantine? When a QB gets Covid do all the QBs have to quarantine? I don't see how this works unless every player wears gloves, an N95 mask plus a full plastic face mask, and I have not heard anyone planning that. It wouldn't surprise me to see some teams having to just stop as some point when too many players are infected. Kansas State, Houston and somebody else already had to shut down football for two weeks because so many guys were infected. How does that work during the season, or even during fall camp?

Do that put that big piece of plexiglass between the O and D line like the checkout people?

IMO we are just moving towards better treatment. Prevention is going to be what it is. Just a slow burn through the population for another year.

The season will go on but be a shame. You might end up having all backups play because the starters tested positive. Wouldn’t surprise me if the bigger idea is to let these young, healthy kids develope heard immunity by the end of the season. What’s scary is I heard some people
Have tested positive twice months apart..as if the virus has mutated some and you’re no longer immune after having it.(just heard that once. On the radio. Did not verify that info)
