Nominees?

SU AD John Wildhack might be a solid choice.

He knows the TV industry better than anyone in athletics

He is a little old, 62-63, and has no prior connections to ND, UVa, and Duke. In the past that would have mattered.

The guy who is the number 3 man in the SEC from Ole Miss might have a chance.

Swarbrick is 66 and would be a transitional figure due to his age.

He has all the perquisites. But to make him Commissioner might have a price.

Swarbrick can be Commish if ND is a full member. Otherwise it's a blatant conflict of interest.

In all seriousness ... if his reputation can be salvaged ... Tom Jurich.

Now for the critical question: Which of Swofford's relatives at Raycom should we promote? 05-stirthepot 03-lmfao

Good luck polishing that turd. Some of the schools have to put up with active faculty that will ***** and moan. Probably too many. I can see him being a problem with the faculty at BC, ND, Pitt, UVa, UNC, and WF. Plus there are probably skeletons that did not exit the closet.

Folks affiliated with or in league with Carolina will push Bubba. Other than being a Tarheel Rat Bastard, he is otherwise a good guy and the ptb at the Triangle schools and business types like him. If it were 20 years ago the ACC would hire Boo Corrigan from State, Gene Corrigan's son.

I'd like to hear what his regrets were from his time in office. The honest ones.

I value getting things done more than appearances right now. Jurich gets things done. Quickly. Decisively. Impressively. Successfully. He can fart into the microphone for all I care if he ran the league as well as he ran Louisville. Unless he got handed a show cause or was in some other way found to be involved in Pitino-gate ... isn't it all just conjecture? Didn't he actually win his legal challenge to collect full severance from Louisville meaning he wasn't found guilty of malfeasance or wrong-doing?

I do to, that's why I am retired. The current political state is such that anyone with politically incorrect baggage is likely doomed anywhere but in the SEC. Also, he has litigation history with Louisville and does not have a quasi-elite education. Yes that's bull****, but given the other stuff - I think he's toast as far as the ACC.

Why I'm glad I retired early. I have enough FU money to be comfortable and I'm not beholden to anyone. The ability to speak freely is great for your mental health

His replacement needs to be someone with experience working in a major conference office and a track record of actually getting things done. Oh, and have absolutely no ties to any particular school(s) in the conference. Time to end the country club operating model in the conference forever.

Who it will be? Either Boo Corrigan or Kevin White because NC State and Duke haven't had their turn at running the country club just yet and we have to be fair.

Kevin White is an absolute hard no. He has demonstrated thoroughly and with relentless drive that he has no clue how to run a football program. He should not be put in charge. Period. Full stop.

Yep, he was a disaster at ND.

Now we just need to avoid hiring our own Larry Scott and hope for a good replacement.

If you want someone that will take the ACC to the next level, Tom Jurich is the guy. Pitino-gate aside, the guy knows what he's doing and gets ish done. You won't find many Louisville fans talk bad about him, we would still be in C-USA if it wasn't for him.
