Valley Forge
Just finished watching a Military History Channel show on Valley Forge. My daughter ran across it and called me in and we watched it together. Really inspiring.
They were starving, suffering every pandemic-typhus, smallpox, pnuemonia, confined to a valley in freezing cold weather. 2,000 of the 12,000 soldiers died of disease. Finally the Continental Congress got them some supplies. A committee visited the camp. They were greeting by a sentry standing on his hat to keep his bare feet from freezing. Then the day after Washington's birthday, Ben Franklin sent a gift, Von Stueben, a Prussian general driven out of the Prussian army. Nature shortly thereafter sent a gift with a record run of fish on the nearby river. And the ragtag militia was turned into an army and helped create a nation.
Everyone trying to tear down America should watch it.

Why? None of the individuals tearing down America care about the nation's past outside of insuring it cannot escape its 'original sin'.

Sorry, I’d like to watch,
But I’ve got a Wendy’s to burn instead.
Haven’t y’all seen the unprecedented bloodshed going on in Wendy’s across this land?!?
