It is a happy day but what possible grounds does Slade have for a waiver. NCAA never gives ODU any breaks.

NCAA doesn’t give us breaks on redshirt years. But they don’t really deny many of these waivers any more. DaJour Dickens got one.

That's excellent to hear but I'm still figuring out how exactly to react to good news given how long it's been. That may be a combination of excitement and optimism I'm feeling.

The administration is not so optimistic, but hopefully the NCAA will be lenient with us like they seem to be with every other P5 transfer, like Justin Fields and Tate Martell for example.

Exactly the level of recruiting and competing for players we should be doing. Finally things are turning the corner on paper. BW was NOT getting it done and most everyone except a few rose colored glasses people on this board knew it. He was a perfect fit for FCS but not at all for FBS. Lets get some highly rated and recruited OL commits to open up some holes !

Between Slade and LaLa our backfield will be nasty for the next few years. Huge pick up for the staff, hopefully will supercharge the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Caution to the wind, yes. But it's still exciting for fans.

I meant to say for clarity, he has scored touch downs in a big time program, hard to contrast him to a SC high school QB who was hyped ...but never achieved. It is a good achievement to obtain this young man and let’s all get behind this team and push this program to higher level.

Yeah was wondering the same thing. Limited PT, but good stats, ypc, etc in the Big Ten. If the OL is halfway competent, he should be a beast in CUSA.
