You can't see the tweets on mobile apps, but they aren't non-links. You can copy/paste into the browser.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I'll try to include a link going forward.

ACC announced today no fall sports will be played until September 1. Of course, right now that just affects Olympic sports. The first ACC football game is a conference tilt between NC State and Louisville on Sept 2. I'm assuming they will follow the Big Ten and play conference games only.

Yeah, I think it was Bruce Feldman that tweeted that's what his sources in Swofford's office were telling him.

The season is lost. What are our options at this point? Conference only games?

If football is canceled this fall, hunting season is going to be a nightmare this fall 03-banghead. Our local boat ramps have been super busy this year, bait&tackle stores are empty, a lot of people and families out fishing this spring and summer so far. Bike shops are empty as well.

RE: What if????
Its probably smarter to cancel the season than just play CUSA games when you have to pick up the expense of flying to all of them. The crazy thing is Wake Forest and UVA are the two FBS teams closest to us on the schedule. They'd be the safest ones to play.

RE: What if????
Migght as well send all the teams to Frisco or somewhere else and quaretine them for a couple of weeks and then let them play the season all in one place and take classes virtually.

There are advantages to this, for scheduling, travel costs, and class time missed. It would suck for the fan base unless they figured out how to televise all the games

RE: What if????
How exactly is it safer to play conference-only games? What an absolutely absurd notion. Is there any intelligence to this position? Please help me understand.

My best guess is that within conferences testing protocols will be close to the same. Testing costs money, and expecting an FCS to test to the same levels as the P5s may not work. Otherwise, yeah, I'm with you...geographic centers make more sense than conferences...

RE: What if????
Sources here in Richmond tell me that the University of Richmond abruptly rescinded it's policy published July 1 for football players to return to campus tomorrow, July 15.

Apparently this does not affect men's and women's basketball as they are still scheduled arrive on campus tomorrow as previously announced.

I wonder if this is going to be CAA wide?

Disclaimer: this is NOT official but I trust the source.
