I agree! With the completion of football stadium South Alabama should be at the top of Facilities ranking. The covered practice facility, fields and updated field house are top notch! Upgrades to baseball, basketball, softball and new construction all over has transformed the campus. Must be out of date info.

Yeah, I have a ton of respect for Georgia Southern as a program, but I'm not sure their record against D-2 and 1-AA UCF is particularly relevant to anything these days.

I just think it's funny that their top cities for quality of life are simultaneously major hotspots for COVID-19 while being burned down and looted by rioters. To each their own I guess.

I'm not saying those places suck. I'm just making fun of how subjective the phrase "quality of life" is. My quality of life seems pretty great right now compared to those in major cities.

The only notable thing that you have done is beat us - and that still didn't stop us from being nationally ranked for 2 years and we still won the conference. So just stop with the young media and coaching changes BS - you really sound like a bunch of whiners.

I'm old enough to remember when a certain SBC football program won 5 titles in 6 seasons with 4 different coaches. They were considered the gold standard in the league. It's been 4 years now since their last title. If you're smart administratively you avoid Tyson Summers hires, but not a single program in FBS is going to win double digit games every season with typical hires (which by definition are unavoidable). Anyone who thinks their program is exempt is a homer.

Agreed following up a Satterfield with a Drunkwitch is just as probable as following up a Fritz with a Summers. We are ALL one hire away from a complete collapse and none of us are perfect. Look at FSU. Look at Bama before Saban. Look at Notre Dame and Charlie Weis. Look at Nebraska, who has been down and out for decades.

Who the hell put this together? I hate crap like this without a name attached. In this moment, ASU has the best football facilities in the SBC. No question. Lots of others are building so it could change. Bottom line in facilities is making sure it doesn't set you apart in a bad way. As long as yours are comparable to top G5 programs, you are good. Also, the quality of life category is just a joke.

Definitely some recency bias going on with App. App facilities are aight but a clear #1 is out there. Lot of opinion in this and not numerical based...but dang they killed ULM....

If we are talking potential football success I think the teams in states with overflow DIV I talent should be ranked higher. If we could make a competent HC hire more than one out of five tries GS might be a tad bit higher. To bad slogan generation is not considered.....I laugh to avoid crying. Quality of life is in the eye of the beholder for sure. Anyone want to live in Atlanta right now?

For sure. App is scoring points based on football wins only. I was on the campus twice in recent time and to say they have the best facilities is fake news. No way they touch State. Think there quality of life is better than #5 is some of the quick things I noticed.

I have only visited App. St. a couple of times and the athletic facilities were pretty good IMO, but their's being the best is a bit of a stretch. stAte's aren't that bad either.

I agree, ASU and UL seem to have the best facilities. However, ASU is FB exclusive so ASU wins.
There is a study which shows merely announcing a new facility will help you in recruiting more than actually building the facility (somehow it shows progress and recruits are more excited about a program moving forward). The study even suggests after announcing a new facility to drag it out a bit and not to build it right away.

Yes, they are pretty good. But if you have been to State, you would know they are not first in facilities. I would put them in the 3-5 range.

After our current construction is finished on the football stadium, aka in the next month and a half, I would say our football facilities have moved ahead of StAte. Our baseball facilities are pretty much a wash. StAte definitely has us in basketball facilities. I would say overall, pretty even between the two of us but football pulls more weight so edge to App. With that said, obviously I'm biased but I'm trying to look at it from an unbiased point of view.
