SunBelt is just a variation of CUSA when you get down to it. CUSA just needs to stop forcing cross divisional play. Let the schools that want to play cross division rivals play (Marshall vs Southern Miss) other than that. Play your division schools and schedule a few geographically regional out of conference schools. And move the CUSA HQ to a geographically centered location within the conference. I think these changes would make a lot of the fans happier.

I’ve said it a thousand times...merge the West of both CUSA/SBC (minus ULM) and merge the East of CUSA/SBC.

Move the HQ, but give Judy the wrong address.

I can just see her driving around the Oklahoma panhandle in her toy jeep wondering where everyone went.

The office of commissioner is only as strong/powerful as the chancellors/presidents want it to be. The commissioner reports to them, not the other way around.

Moral of the story: the members of C-USA could kick the commish to the curb whenever they feel like it. The fact that they haven’t done that after 5-6 years is proof that they either think she’s doing good work, or (if not) they know they can’t get anyone better.

The ONLY thing that solves is geography... CUSA and the sbc are pretty much twins and I have said that for a long time. Darwin take the wheel.
