I can't imagine now that they have moved up that the majority of the ticket buying ODU fanbase would want to pay those prices for going back to FCS. This kind of move is a 1 way street for fans.

He definitely didn't read any article saying anything of the sort.

Has there been ANY talk from CUSA HQ in regard to rescheduling? I’ve done Google searches and haven’t seen anything. I think CUSA will sit on their thumb as usual.

Yes, the conference announced on October 14th that it has a moved the championship game back two weeks to give schools a chance to reschedule their makeup games. The conference is not going to reschedule your games for you.

The losses aren’t as important as the wins. No team should be awarded a win for a game they didn’t WIN. Loading up the W column with forfeit “wins” does nothing for the integrity of your historical win total or the perception of your current season. Imagine a boxer touting a record of 30-0 but the W column is full of forfeits. Call me old school but I like to earn my W’s.

Turns out the conference did reschedule the games for us...they just didn't deem it important enough to let the fans, and probably the ADs themselves, know.

Charlotte would be 5-4 with five games left to play giving them a rare 14 game regular season.

And oh, hey FAU Connoisseur, I see you've woken up from your slumber.
Haven't seen you post in a while since the Marshall vs FAU game.

See that's the thing here. I was afraid this was going to happen to us after playing FAU, even mentioned it in a thread before that game. And sure enough, it did. We've done an outstanding job of keeping COVID under wraps in our football program, but we head down to Florida to play a program that frankly hasn't done a good job this year, and now find ourselves in this predicament. This is another reason a team that's forced to postpone/cancel shouldn't be penalized for it, because sorry FAU, but I'm putting the blame squarely on you guys for this one. I highly doubt that it's a coincidence we're having this issue the week after we played you.
I guess the only good to come of it is that we FINALLY get a bye week. Only two teams in college football have played 8 games so far (our rival Texas State and us), but we're the only team that hasn't had a single bye yet. We've been the walking wounded, using 4 different quarterbacks, 11 different offensive lineman, two cornerbacks playing with casts on their arms, running backs and receivers out, and God knows how many different starting lineups this season. So maybe some of our boys will be able to heal up a bit now.

Marshall played FAU, and came out just fine.
One can catch this thing just as much by going to your local gas station than in traveling.
There's no secret sauce to protection, and no one is immune or to blame at this point.
It's just kinda what it is.
