You used to be better than this.

Better than what?

Plus only season ticket holders will get in for now.

Should be an interesting year.

with the six foot rule for groups (family etc - not season ticket holder groups) The max of season ticket holders will most likely be 12,000. You then have to add in the band, students etc.

This may or may not count the stadium club and suites - they are looking at 15,000 max with all groups combined as of now. Not all season ticket holders will get in. In fact, they are holding back on all large bulk season ticket purchases.

Home OOC schedule very weak, especially for attendance (in a normal year).

Band will be interesting. With the blowing and spit flying there, it may actually be as dangerous as for the athletes themselves.

I'm not sure they "have" to add either band or students, with hard limits on attendance. Depends on how it looks when classes start.

Don't focus on the 2 OOC home games. Focus on the 4 AAC games. Houston and UCF both coming to town.

That's silly.

This is the same fanbase that will pack 45K for an FCS game in September, leave at HT because we are up 35, and complain that little Jaxxon and Kayden need to go home.

And won't return in October for our most important home game of the season.

dont be surprised that the schedule is only going to be conference games

don't be surprised if we run the conference we may get a playoff spot based on our preseason ranking - weird season possibly coming up

In a way it's true. If you look at the home schedule overall, UCF should be just as good of a draw as UCLA and Ole Piss were. IMO, the issue with the schedule is the way it is set up.

Last year the good games were spread throughout the season and our last two home games were against ranked SMU and Cincinnati. There was a buildup with the last two games being super important.

This year, our last home game isn't even a conference game and we finish out on the road. Our marquee home game is UCF in mid October and unless Temple turns out to be really good, the last half of the home schedule is underwhelming.

Finish the season with UCF and then Houston as our last home games and it would be a totally different story.

In the preseason polls Clemson and North Carolina from the ACC, Utah and USC from the PAC12 and Memphis, UCF and Cincinnati from the AAC are ranked.

If one of the ACC or PAC12 teams falters, there will be no reason to choose any of them over us, and they often finish with everyone having at least 2 losses anyway. I think we have a slight shot if the Big 12 champion has 1 loss. UCF can take out North Carolina in the first week of the season. Accomplishing that and UNC being good will go a long way to giving the conference more credibility.

As usual, crazy things have to happen, but it's maybe doable.

Really? The only games our departed AD had any control over are the OOC games - and this is what we get? But you're right, I'll have to focus on the conference games when UT-M & AR St are the fine OOC home games we have.

You said:

"Fans at their games have been practicing social distancing their entire existence."

And then:

"Now we are going back 50 years."

And I'm making a fool of myself?

I mean I know you are beginning to enter your twilight years and perhaps all those late winter nights drinking heavily have taken their toll but to flip flop like that is not the Stammers I've posted with on different variations of this board for almost 20 years.

It's quite possible that you will actually be able to vote for Joe Biden numerous times in November even from Canada.

Saluki always said you were an easy target. Now I see why.

Saluki always said you were an easy target. Now I see why.

The reality is that you had to go back 50 years to TRY and find a few seasons where their fans didn't practice social distancing and you still failed miserably.

You are possibly the only person on the planet that is arguing that Tulane and SMU haven't always had poor fan support. Your best examples for SMU had them playing in a stadium 2/3 empty...and that includes having Texas and Texas A&M fill it a couple of times a year for them.

Even CUSA-NEWS knows that I wouldn't do this and he doesn't know anything. This is even more nonsensical that your lame Tulane, SMU argument.

Wrong again. I was only able to find info from that period. If you reading comprehension was better you might have been able to ascertain that from posts 16 and 17.

And if you understood college football you you would know that SMU struggled getting back on track with the death penalty.

Struggled almost as much as you are in this thread.

Funny that you can post without the insults. That's when you know you have won an argument.

Done with this thread.
