WAC Volleyball 2020 [r]
Have any schools put out their schedules yet? I have not been able to find anything for NMSU yet.

Not putting too much effort into it, it does look like a few schools have their schedules out, but most are DII. I did just a quick search on Google.

I hope sometime soon the schedules start to trickle out.

On our board some members have mentioned that we, and everyone else, might be redoing our schedule to be more regional. Apparently all we know atm is that we're in a Rice tournament and are hosting A&M. I'd bet we probably play NMSU. Tarleton could be a possibility I guess.

Lots of away two game tournaments

@ USU
@ Weber St + vs Nevada
@ EWU + North Dakota
@ Montana St + Arkansas - Interesting that Montana St was able to get a SEC school to attend.

H/H with SUU - This is a no brainier. So all games are driving, albeit a long drive, and each "tournament" is two days in a row.

Understandable for a first year program. I was hoping for UNLV, but not too bad.

RE: WAC Volleyball 2020 [r]
A few more schools have announced their schedules.
Iona of the MAAC is only having 4 non-conference matches.

USC-Upstate is having a much more robust non-conference with 14 non-conference matches including a tournament at SIU-Carbondale.

Stephen F Austin has 14 non conference matches with tournaments at TTech, and Tulane as well as hosting one. There is a TBA at the TTech, I wonder if a school backed out already.

Central Arkansas has 13 non-conference with tournaments at Oklahoma, SIU and SMU.

Lastly ENMU has their schedule posted. No DI teams on it.

There are no WAC teams on any of these schedules. We do know that the WAC conference schedule is set, it looks like Southland, Big South and MAAC as well.

Dixie St is the only WAC school so far to get their schedule out.

RE: WAC Volleyball 2020 [r]
OK, so I found a few more.

UTEP They have 7 non-conference matches. It looks like NMSU will have the following teams coming to Las Cruces
I-10 Invitational
NMSU, Tulane, UNM, UTEP and UIW (Incarnate Word) It looks like UTEP/NMSU will not play each other this tournament, but Tulane, UNM and UIW will play both schools.

Borderland Invitational
NMSU, UTEP, UT Arlington, and Abilene Christian. All relatively local schools.
NMSU also will play at UTEP on 24 Nov.

Saint Mary's is up. Lots of California schools, so it looks like they will have a season, or a least a schedule.

Texas Southern has lots of openings on its schedule.

MVSU - mostly other
HBCU

Tenn-Chattanooga is also up.

So we have Southland, WCC, Southern, SWAC, and C-USA as well have their conference schedules out as well.

So what to glean:

NMSU will play - UTEP, UNM, UT Arlington, Abilene Christian, Tulane, and UIW.

Dixie State’s schedule has already changed a little. No more Arkansas game.

That was always an odd one. I wonder if there was a basketball game tied into Arkansas going to Montana's V-ball tournament. I know as part of the Bowl game in Boise, a trip to play BSU in Basketball was part of the deal. So BSU would get some good teams coming to town, including Cincinnati with Kenyon Martin IIRC.

Cal Baptist sighting - They will be in a 4 team tournament hosted by Georgia State. Teams include McNeese St, Georgia St, South Dakota St, and Cal Baptist.

Look like Tarleton St will be in the Incarnate Word tournament on 3/4 September with Incarnate Word, Idaho St, and PV A&M. They will also play at PV A&M on 8 Sept.

RE: WAC Volleyball 2020 [r]
So, Eastern Washington has a three team tournament on 28/29 Aug with Portland and Grand Canyon at Idaho.

EWU also hosts a tournament where Dixie St will play EWU, and North Dakota for sure, and possibly Idaho or Air Force.

One interesting thing to note. The Mountain West is doing 2 match trips. So no home and home, but two in a row at or vs the same school. See CSU schedule.

* Slight correction - USU, BSU, UNM and SDSU will be single matches, Fresno, SJSU, Wyoming, UNLV, Nevada and Air Force are all double matches.

With volleyball not starting until 16 September, who knows if there will even be a scheduled non-conference schedule.

We’re taking a big hit to our schedule.

Jason Groves
@JPGroves
Just spoke with NMSU volleyball coach Mike Jordan. Aggies lose out on non conference home matches against Arizona, Arizona State, Texas Tech and Auburn.

Wow! That is a massive hit. Too bad for that. I wish that I had not known that.
