The week America lost its way
Great editorial:
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articl...43395.html
"...One boy, Ralph, had been elected as the group’s leader because he seemed to symbolize decency, kindness and honor. But slowly he was displaced by boys who valued action over honor, power over principle:
“The rules!" shouted Ralph, "you're breaking the rules!"
"Who cares?” came the response from the children. If that is the same response we accept from our mayors, our governors, our generals, and our media elites, then we have not only lost our honor; we have lost our country."

There is nothing in this article that this board hasn't stated in one way or another, other than the connection to "Lord of the Flies" which is perhaps a tad safer ground than discussing the SA (Brownshirts) tactics and the fact that ANTIFA and BLM operate as fascist stormtroopers.
But this article is far behind the curve. It does not connect the corporate backing of these organizations to the hypocrisy of supporting and profiting by the movement of American jobs overseas where slave /child labor in a Communist country maximized their profits. If part of BLM's movement is against what they claim are vestiges of slavery from 160 years ago why aren't they up in arms with the corporations who are disenfranchising American workers which drives the poverty divide here? Why aren't they up in arms with Corporations who use what is essentially slave and child labor abroad to attain their profits? Why are they attacking the only regime to try to impinge trade with that oppressive system? Why can they not comprehend that open boarders draws resources away from the citizens of this country who need it and provide off the books labor for corporations here as those persons frequently hide in temp services where they are abused on the minimum wage as Temp service operators, many funded by corporate interests, take a cut off the top for placing them?
There is an opportunity here to connect the dots for these so called revolutionaries so they can see that they are fighting against the only ones trying to uphold the worker's right to an American job, to shut down sweat shops that benefit an oppressive Communist regime, and to close the borders so that our poor have more.
These articles just go skin deep and miss the heart of the matter, well intentioned as they may be.
