I see protesting, standing on its own, as a lazy means to gain public acclaim with no effort whatsoever. It's undeserved access to power...to claim membership to something impactful of which you contribute nothing. Same can be said for a blacked out screen, tying a bow around a tree, or adding a hashtag to one's handle.
Organizing a 20 mile march, to include coordinating with two police jurisdictions, raising money with a set goal/how to spend it, and all the outreach that goes along with it, is the furthest thing from lazy. It's inspirational and laudable. THAT'S how you make a difference.

Looks like they have passed the $20,000 mark. Lots of donors to the fund and an amazingly high number of walkers for 20 miles.
