First off Breeze admits he lost credibility...At least with a certain community and apologized for it.

Secondly I hope the player is right. I would hope Norvell or Silverfield would not bench a player for protesting.

I would think they could come to a compromise to pacify the fans. Like coming out after the anthem was played.

I agree... It's that kind of donor that eventually gets us in trouble with the NCAA.

Hope they would. Cannot have a disciplined team if you allow players to do what ever they want when ever they want. They can do all the protesting they want when they are not involved in team activities.

RE: Memphis Booster vs Memphis Player
you left off the portion where Gabe received a call from some players who were informed by a Coach that Gabe should not speak for them. https://twitter.com/G_Kuhn71/status/1268...21888?s=20

I spoke with Gabe and he immediately informed me he was wrong for posting what he posted, which is fine we all can learn from this. He and and are grabbing a drink later today for dialogue.

Its always good to show the entire dialogue rather than what fits the narrative.

Drew Brees lost credibility because he said he loves this nation and the flag?

WTF is this nation coming to?

RE: Memphis Booster vs Memphis Player
The context of protesting during an event like a game vs protesting before, after or any other time.

Not too many people can during their job protest things, but all can before, after or any other time.
It's an excellent form of communication and I know that I learn a lot more from listening rather than from having thoughts pushed down upon me. Listening is great.
Everyone should protest anything they want, its a form of communication but most would never be able to do it during their hours they work.

Did you see rhe Brees apology? If not you should read it.

Do you not think Brees himself feels like he lost credibility by not seeing the entire picture and simplifying the issue?

Yes. I just read the apology.

I have about a hundred things to say on the subject, but it's probably best that I just keep my mouth shut. I tried having intelligent discussions on social media over the past week, but it's pointless when you show people FACTS and their response is "I don't care about facts, I know what I know", there really is no point.

So you agree that Drew himself feels he lost some cred. Loving your country and being understanding of one of your brothers in your countries plight do not have to be opposing views.
I cant imagine what "Facts" you were posting.

The fact that in 2019 there were a total of 9 unarmed black men killed by police (and most of them, while unarmed, were in the process of assaulting the officer).

The fact that blacks being killed by police has dropped 70% over the past 40 years.

And, before you jump down my throat...yes, we still have work to do and yes, there are still racist elements that need to be addressed. Just because someone points out a fact, doesn't mean they are racist. People can be intelligent enough to be anti-racist and also be honest that there has been progress made.

It is trending down...But do you really feel that people who have been screaming police brutality for years and where mostly ignored due to lack of evidence are going to accept a downward trend when they finally have evidence in hand.

The data I find shows 28...But either way not a huge number.

And this is not only about deaths. It is about the overall treatment of crimes.

Lets compare Crack Addicts (Criminals who need to be locked up) to Prescription Drug Addicts (Sick individuals who need help).
