In 2017 La Tech beat a 4-win USA team that wasn’t good and lead to Joey Jones’ resignation. In 2018 you faced a 3-9 USA team in Steve Campbell’s first game as coach (which we almost won). I hope the USA teams you guys face in 2022 and 2027 are a little better. Good luck this year!

I agree completely. You guys were indeed struggling both years we played you. I expect you'll be better by the time we play again.

Let's play more often. Don't be scared and schedule the bottom of the table to beat your chests. Awfully hard to project superiority when you consistently have to win. Let's be honest though, you all are scared lil punks. Deep down you'd rather play Miami just so it's easier to excuse a loss- it's the same losers attitude Arkansas has.

Anytime, anywhere, anyplace tech...but keep bragging about a win from 2014 which was not a very good team. It sincerely doesn't bother me. Let's talk again in a couple years about C-USA.

The buyout complete was clearly a joke, but I do appreciate the weekly reminder of LA Choke's glorious 2015 bowl victory. Once you win a conference championship perhaps you can stop celebrating that.

It's either money problems with an S, or it's THESE money problems. Anyway, the state's current money problems won't sink us. We may even come out of this crisis stronger, but that's a whole other story that I don't want to get into.

How about this. Why don't you get back to me, as I'm sure you will, when some SBC member actually makes a game of it on the field with us? Do you remember all the talk on this board when we were going to get killed by ULL back in 2014, and when SBC Champ ASU was going to take us to the woodshed in 2015? I do, and neither happened. It's always the same, lots of talk, followed by a SBC team laying an egg when we play. I understand your frustration. We've had the SBC's number for a lot of years now. I'm smart enough to know that these things run in cycles, and that we won't always win against SBC competition. I'm also smart enough to recognize a frustrated rant when I see one, and I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that that is what your post is all about.

What kind of dimwit doesn't get why someone would defend his alma mater? I suppose it's one who is a fan of a school that we routinely beat the crap out of almost every single time we play. In case you didn't notice, several posters had attacked La Tech before I ever responded to this thread. As a rule, I try to never put my two cents worth in on a subject on this forum unless my school is involved in the discussion.

People like you want you lash out on a message board because it's all you've got. You can never talk trash about a Cajun win over Tech because most of your teams never beat us. They always perform like crap whenever they play Tech. I understand how hard it must be to watch as your teams routinely get humiliated by Tech, but the cure for that is for your teams to perform better. Whining on a message board isn't going to fix it.

Fans of Sun Belt Conference members have more hate for us than anyone else, but a rivalry has developed between UAB and Tech and we don't like each other very much. It all started when our MBB coach complained LOUDLY and often about the CUSA tournament being played in Birmingham every year, regardless of who won the conference regular season. UAB took exception to that, as they fancied themselves the "flagship" basketball school in CUSA. Over time, we won the argument, and UAB fans have never gotten over it. Kind of like how ULL fans struggle to get over the eight game losing streak in football that the Cajuns are currently riding against Tech.

Their OOC schedule is generally pretty good and they can claim some nice wins over the years. What makes a good rivalry are teams with fans like Tech. Wish we played them annually.

Most Tech fans are full of themselves for sure. But I don't see a big deal with thet given their football success over the years and fan attitude is a by product of that. Fans that support their teams can get over bearing but the best way to stop that is to wih and they have had the SBC number in recent years. And I hate that.

I’m glad that South Alabama is willing to schedule home and homes with schools like La Tech. South Alabama gets an easy win at home while La Tech players get to play in a big environment, probably in a stadium they always dreamed of playing in. Plus the return trip to Ruston will be a nice little boost for that town. Good on you South Alabama!

It think that's called a rivalry, as I've grown to pretty much hate everything about UAB too. I pull against UAB in conference, but never in OOC games. What did our band do that offended you so much?
