I agree with pretty much everyone with one comment. I have no idea where to put Judkins. Other than that, I think you have the order pretty much correct.

Now lets rank them all by post season success. lol

The list look fine to me besides that fact that I'd put Hayford above Judkins and its a toss up with Hill as well.

5. Lew Hill
6. Jon Judkins
7. Jim Hayford
8. Mark Madsen
9. Lance C. Irvin

Here is my list, with a little more detail:

1. Chris Jans - 3x WAC Coach of the Year.
2. Bryce Drew - 3x Horizon Coach of the Year.
3. Rick Croy - Has never head a losing season as a head coach in his 12 seasons. Croy is 299-88 (.781) overall and a three-time Western State Conference Coach of the Year.
4. Billy Gillispie - 2x Big 12 Coach of the Year. Coach of the Year in the SEC in 2008. Has won everywhere but has had some personal issues that has set him back in his coaching career.
5. Jon Judkins - Judkins has guided Dixie State to 11-straight winning seasons, six Pacific West Conference championships, and eight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.
6. Jim Hayford - A five-time Coach of the Year at Whitworth University in the Northwest Conference. Coach of the Year in the Big Sky in 2015. Hayford is considered one of the best offensive coaches in the country.
7. Lew Hill - He has only four years head coaching experience. I love the way his teams get after it. He just needs more talent. They have had a winning record in the WAC the past two seasons.
8. Mark Madsen - Lost three good players to BYU and Pope.
9. Lance Irvin - Hopeless situation. Irvin was a good assistant.

I think the WAC has seven very good head coaches, with two that are in tough situations at this time.

Ranking Chris Jans below Bryce Drew tells me how clueless you are. Jan’s is number one and it’s not even close. Drew sucked at Vanderbilt and Gillespie was successful a loNg time ago.

Before you get your panties in a bunch and get all emotional, just take a moment to look a little deeper. We're about to see just how savvy Jans is when he faces some real coaching. He's enjoyed some success in the WAC, I'll give him that, but it really ain't saying much with NMSU's talent and institutional advantage. 1 year in the MAC (big whoop).
I'll take SEC and BIG 12 experience over MAC and WAC, any day of the week. He definitely hasn't earned the title of best coach on this list. Not by a long shot.

D1 NCAA HC Experience & Record:
BCG: 10 yrs, 256-148 (SEC, BIG 12, WAC)
Bryce Drew: 8 yrs, 164-108 (SEC, HORIZON)
Chris Jans: 4 yrs, 104-29 (MAC, *Watered Down*WAC)

NCAA Tourney Games & Record:
BCG: 7 (3-4) *Including Sweet 16
Drew: 5 (2-3) *Also 2017 NIT Runner-up
Jans: 2 (0-2) *0-3 if not for COVID 19

Plus 2004 WAC Coach if the Year.

Very nice analysis. Regarding Irvin, I thought he was only an AAU coach before taking the CSU job?

Even though NMSU posters have enlightened you to Jans' OOC success against the likes of P5's, the MWC and other mid majors, your defense is a watered down WAC? The very same WAC you are so excited to join and have big plans for? And you went ahead and gave Jans an 0-3 in the NCAA's, including 2020, even though the games were not played and we were riding a 19 game win streak which included a road win against Mississippi State, an NCAA tourney bound team that finished 4th in the SEC, only one year removed from losing to final four Auburn by one point because we couldn't make free throws. Did you look closely at what Jans did at Bowling Green? He had one of the largest turnarounds in CBB that lone year. All the P5's Jans has faced (and several he has beaten), none of those were "real" coaches?

All of the posters on here are well aware of Jans and BCG's coaching success and resumes. Everyone else has ranked Jans 1st, you went out of your way to rank him third. I bet you did your best to put him lower but just couldn't pull the trigger.

I like the BCG hire. I try to be objective on here. But your purple glasses are blinding you.

A word of advice. There are a couple NMSU posters on here that wear crimson glasses and they embarrass themselves all the time. We all know who they are and no one respects their posts. Don't become one of those guys that no one respects. For me, you are teetering right on the line.

*Watered down* Meaning not the same WAC of old. The new WAC IS exciting for us D2 moveups because we think we can win in it. It is watered down, but thats good for us. We just want the bid. In fact, NMSU guys are always talking about the WAC being weak, or a "black hole" as another crimson glass wearer suggested. Your words. Not mine.

Just following the trend...

I did not. If you really think Jans is a more tested and proven D1 coach than BCG, you are delusional. Just stop it. Drew>Jans is somewhat debatable, I went with D1 experience and postseason record.

Dude, this is a WAC board, not an NMSU board. One thing I've noticed about *some* of you NMSU fans is you don't know how to handle somebody disagreeing with you. You respond with below the belt shots if they do, which is just childish. I'm just trying to offer views from a different perspective.

Same thing he's done to GCU every time he's faced them. Just keeping it light, PP.
