RE: 2021 MBB Recruiting
If you read the DNR story on this latest commit, they say JMU is likely to add a 4th recruit this fall. I'd like to see them add some size given the departure of Zach Jacobs, who's going to play a significant role with this year's team. I've never seen Byington's teams play and I know he likes 4 guards, but I hope he evolves on that a bit. Perhaps that was his way of trying to be competitive in terms of the types of players he could get. Not making an NIT or NCAA and not faring great against really good opponents suggests he might want to consider adjusting that approach. He did say in that same article that they had added more size in the 2020 recruiting cycle than they might normally add.

RE: 2021 MBB Recruiting
would that indicate an early departure? I wonder from whom?

Correct, 3 seniors and 2 2021 commits

Mettlen has an article out with quotes from Stinson

https://www.dnronline.com/sports/dukes-p...5a4fe.html

Coach Joyner took the lead to get Stinson. On paper, so far so good from Coach Joyner and the rest of the staff

This covid debacle has me way behind on jmu and really all things sports!

Obviously being a Philly area guy i love seeing the signing of Stinson. The stats look great, he's won, and all of that...

We've lacked hard nosed players since Coach Brady left. Stinson will fit this bill. Also, this offense is going to require sharing the ball and spotlight and Stinson has thrived in this environment at Wood. His backcourt mate is reigning pcl player of the year and headed to unconn. 4 of 5 starters expected to go d1 hoops a day center d1 football .

Wood has built a heck of a place power out in the burbs. The list of guards in particular out of Wood is impressive. Novas Colin Gillespie keeps getting better by the year.

Interesting article-some parallels with what Coach B did with his recruiting class at JMU
