We also keep Lending Tree in Mobile and are available for three of these:
• Boca Raton Bowl (Boca Raton, FL)
• Camellia Bowl (Montgomery, AL)
• Cure Bowl (Orlando, FL)
• Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (Boise, ID)
• SERVPRO First Responder Bowl (Dallas, TX)
• Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl (Frisco, TX)
• Myrtle Beach Bowl (Myrtle Beach, SC)
• New Mexico Bowl (Albuquerque, NM)

Basically what everyone expected. I am a bit surprised ServPro First Responder and New Mexico Bowl are both part of the pool, but with ESPN having first pick it gives them options.
The Sun Belt Champion should be ranked or at worst Top 35 range. Low chance of a P5, but ServPro could be a solid match up with AAC #3 team. New Mexico Bowl also could be the landing spot for the Champion versus MWC #2.

Lending Tree Bowl is now the 5th pick. There hasn't been any announcement of it leaving Ladd yet. Not sure why we have bowls in Idaho and New Mexico, not exactly great tourist attractions during bowl season. Having more than 5 will help when the conference has more than teams than bowl slots.

I am not sure how much. Other conferences are involved with these bowls. We are only guaranteed 3 slots plus New Orleans and Lending Tree.

My guess is, more often than not, ESPN will grab the champion and place them in a geographic friendly bowl.
New Orleans has the second pick and is likely to grab Louisiana in most years if they aren't the champion.

I was a little surprised NOLA moved down to the second pick after being the first (or only for many years) for 20 years. Money talks, I guess.
