RE: CUSA Bowl Lineup
What's really changed? Additional tie-ins like the Fenway and Myrtle Beach Bowls?

The major change is that the conference isn't specifically tied to the same number of specific bowl games per year. Only the New Orleans, Bahamas & (Independence/Hawaii) bowls remain as guaranteed C-USA slots. The rest of the eligible C-USA teams can be sent to any of the 11 ESPN bowls + Mobile Bowl during any season of the cycle.

That's 15 different possible landing spots for a C-USA bowl-eligible team; up from the previous 6 or 7.

He needs to read again. C-USA is guaranteed 4 or 5 spots in these 11 bowls (+ the Mobile Bowl) annually. C-USA is additionally guaranteed a slot in the Bahamas Bowl, in the New Orleans Bowl and the Independence or Hawaii Bowl (alternating years).

Is the 7 guaranteed bowl games a year (assuming qualification) the same number we've had or is it an increase? I thought it had been 6 with some secondary's.

RE: CUSA Bowl Lineup
first bowl - Hawaii
second bowl - bahamas
third bowl - Boca Raton, Fl

I'm hoping by the 5th or 6th bowl game, it will be close enough to see my team play in person.

These bowls right at Christmas time are tough. I can see my team play and get removed from the family will/trust or attend and die poor.

What about the New Orleans Bowl (which I've attended)? Is it too far for you?

RE: CUSA Bowl Lineup
New Orleans bowl would be my #1 preference.

7.5hrs on Amtrak
5-5.5 hrs by car.

yes I mistyped and didn't cite correctly.

I couldn't make it due to family commitments. If the New Orleans bowl was played on New Years or after, that would be my #1 choice.

It is an increase of one. The NCAA took the average number of bowl eligible teams in each conference over six years and that was the maximum number of "primary" bowl contracts that conference could enter into for this cycle. C-USA increased while some others decreased.

During this 6 year cycle:

ACC - 11 Allowed Primary Bowl Agreements
SEC - 10 (Allowed 11, only exercised 10)
B10 - 9
P12 - 8
B12 - 7
AAC - 7
CUSA - 7
MAC - 6
MTW - 6
SBC - 5
Army - 1
BYU - 1

Numbers to know for 2020-21:
Automatic bids -78
Total Bowls - 42
Total Berths - 84
Minimum # of at-large slots - 6
