RE: 2020 COVID capacities
Quote:Ohio State University released information that it expects to reduce capacity to likely 20 percent at Ohio Stadium for football games this fall.

The information is being sent to season ticket holders so they are able to rethink their options before the start of the 2020 season.

“While no final decision has been made regarding the 2020 football season, the Department of Athletics has been working diligently with university leaders, public health experts and government officials to create game day plans that protect the health, safety and well-being of our student-athletes, staff, faculty and fans,” the department said in a message to ticket holders today.

Quote:UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham and Rams Club director John Montgomery sent an email to UNC football season ticketholders with an update about the 2020 season, as much as they could provide one.

There are not a lot of certainties when it comes to the 2020 college football season, but the one thing UNC has decided on definitively is that they will not distribute season tickets because they will need to reshuffle the seating arrangements to accommodate social distancing.

"Data and trends regarding the COVID-19 pandemic continue to provide moving targets for decisions, but reduced fan capacity in Kenan Stadium will be a necessity," the email reads. "We are planning for multiple scenarios and will continue to work with University and state officials as well as health experts to determine the appropriate level of capacity, which may vary throughout the season. The decision will affect how we handle tickets."
