I agree it's a reach...I'm really hoping we can extend MSU home-home in 28/29 to go along with 2021 and 2022.

Starkville is only like 2.5 hours for the Southaven/Olive Branch Tiger fans.

I think that's a great match up for your program. And people spending money to support your program are going to be fully engaged in that series if it comes to pass. I think that's what all ADs should be looking at. Peer programs or playing up a level are great but if you can play up and keep it in driving distance of your fan base it's a no brainer.

I think the handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic has been screwed up on almost every level. However, with that said, I think the ramifications will be long lasting and any scheduling beyond this season could very well be up for re-negotiations and drastic changes. Looking at schedules beyond 2020 I don't think is guaranteed at all.

I recant my previous statement and would prefer to not schedule LaTurd in any sports. Let them constitute to die on the vine, just like the Black Knight in The Holy Grail.

At least Anderson has gotten out of the habit of losing every OOC game. So there is hope.

It appears he traded trying hard in OOC play in exchange for losing to UL and South Alabama.

More of Memphis finally giving up the ghost and realize that we’re a regional opponent an hour down the road. They went through a several year stretch where they refused to schedule. Last football game was in 2013

more to do with P5 home-home deals drying up along with the fact playing ASU home-home is a 'cost friendly' series for Memphis as we can bus the team/band 45 mins to Jonesboro.

essentially past 2023 Memphis has a 2-for-1 with Arkansas, a home-home with Arkansas State, and a re-scheduled game @Georgia State.

Your bus drivers probably need to slow it down a little . . .

YAS! Memphis secured the series extension with Miss State for 28/29...well done, AD/Coach!

Memphis says season ticket holders only this season. No idea how this is going to work because AState has sold a ton of tickets to this game already through an agreement with UM

I’m sure they’ll allow some visiting fans. I just don’t know how many and which of our fans just don’t get to go

remember that the Liberty Bowl is owned by the City of Memphis and they are the folks setting the rules with guidance from the Shelby County Health Dept during a declared pandemic...it sounds like the block of single game tickets sold to visiting fans will not be honored and I'm sure will be refunded. Over the last 70 days I've gone from being 50-50 on if there will even be a football season to thrilled there will at least be Tiger football played in front of SOME fans.

I think there will be some there mainly because we keep selling the tickets. It’s almost physically impossible to block opposing fans from games. You don’t really have control over who fans sell their tickets too

That should make for a good OOC rivalry for both schools. This is a good match up. Way to go.

Split between wanting UAB back on the schedule or avoiding them like the plague. In any case, Go Trojans!!!!

Side note: maybe this would be a good time to renew the Middle Tennessee rivalry...
