And for the USM fans that claim empathy over being left behind. I’m very interested to see what the conference does to recover. I believe that CUSA will have options to pick from quality programs that want to move up. Let’s wait at least to see who the presidents vote in before feeling depressed about it. While most options will be currently in FCS some are currently very successful. With the right moves I’m optimistic that CUSA can recover the same way the Sun Belt did during the last round.

I also think MT has a lot of positives going for it and should be one of the favorites to be added to the AAC at the next opportunity. But MT’s leadership needs to improve to make it happen. MT’s future, and any other CUSA or G5 program for that matter, is tied to what it’s leadership does, not the conference it’s in.

XYZ makes a valid point about LEADERSHIP. I'm far more focused on what President McPhee, AD Massaro and the MT Board of Trust do than anything Judy does. And to Hell with Depression; I'm just Pissed and will be a "Grumpy old B#$%@^&" until MT presents a Legitimate Commitment to Athletic Excellence. I suspect the same criticism could be leveled at leadership for the other 4 remaining CUSA members.

GSU isn't going to the AAC. They already said no. Troy doesn't want to be in the East of the Sun Belt.

I love when MACtion starts and ESPN and social media really promote the crap out of it. For those unaware, MACtion starts every November and MAC schools do not play on Saturday from then on, for the most part I believe. Every game from November on is on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+ and CBSSN. A lot of great coverage. 3 games coming up this coming Tuesday.

WKU would be a solid fit in the MAC. Not so sure about MTSU, but if I were the MAC I would take them both as travel partners.

WKU is just a solid athletic department all the way around.

Ok, well I’m just stating the obvious. La Tech should be in the AAC over most of the schools that were invited (including Rice), but the fact that La Tech thinks it is better than the UL schools has dealt a devastating blow to the school. If not for that, La Tech would have been in the Sun Belt today.

Can you take this narrative elsewhere? Arkansas State would have done just about everything that Tech has done the last 30 years if placed in the same situation. The goal in mind is to better ourselves amongst our peers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. You have got to quit coming over here with your ULL-ULM created narratives and blasting Tech for wanting to get ahead. It is childish.
