Astroturf Replacing Hoops Family Fielf Turf At No Cost

Quote:HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – If one would head down 5th Avenue and pass Hoops Family Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium, plenty of activity would be seen.
The parking lot is filled with materials, and a closer look would find that the old turf has been removed, which the Marshall men's and women's teams play on each year. The reason is simple: AstroTurf, the supplier of the original turf when the stadium opened in 2013, visited Huntington and determined the turf was failing while under warranty, so the company offered to replace the turf ahead of the 2020 season.

The cost to the Marshall athletic department: Zero.

I noticed last year that the turf needed to be replaced in the next few years, as some seems were starting to show. Astroturf deemed that the turf failed which is still under warranty. Good for the soccer programs and the Marshall athletic department.

Correct! We are not using FieldTurf (which is a brand name), the article states we are using AstroTurf (brand name). We aren't using "Fielf" Turf either.

Either way, the best keep get better!

clt applauds marshal for trying to save money, but fielf turf ain't it chief.

also, any elite soccer flagship like Charlotte knows it is a pitch.

Transamerica Field serves as the primary venue for the 49ers home soccer matches. With several practice fields/facilities on campus, the pitch of natural grass is kept in immaculate condition for gamedays.
