like the salt fishing and booty, Ja!!!

Well, once was the Honeymoon, other an anniversary, so took a pass on some strange.

Did once take a guy up on some "deep sea" fishing. Course I'm thinking some kind of a 40 footer or so, maybe a mate, coolers, etc.

Guy shows up as planned, he'll pick me up right from the beach in front of our place and we'll head from there.

Yea, turns out the dingy, the 16-18 ft wooden skiff with the 25hp outboard, is our fishing boat. We went all the way out to blue water in that thing, about 300 yards offshore. We coulda backstroked in from there. Did have a freaking Marlin jump right over the bow, missed us by about 6 feet or so. Caught a couple Barracuda and some other kinds of fish I've now forgotten, may have been small grouper.

3 hours, I think he charged me 30 American. So I gave him a $50 tip. Pretty amazing.

03-thumbsup to a great story 'remembered'....

my honeymoon was in Gatlinburg in late Oct ... tripped over a boulder to the vehicle for the morning hike, and impaled muh knee on the front licence plate bracket on day 3...

Elizabeth Taylor "sewed it up w/o a drain" at the emergencycare......called my orthopedic during Thanksgiving din-din when the the infection turned into a softball... he told me to git my arse to the hospital STAT, and was there in 1 hr....

so many stories.....

Mine's not as bad, the guy had a 20 ft boat but it was a Boston Whaler so seaworthy and we fished the Gulf Stream together. The deal was we both washed the boat and cleaned he equipment, and we both bought the bait, but I supplied the gas. So we head out to the Gulfstream fished for Kings and Amberjack and whatever and always prayed we'd hook a Wahoo, and we would hit the Gulf Stream and cut the engines and drift fast enough to troll. So we had the outriggers and the Senators engaged and drifted with the radio switched off and ignored the damned world and fished.

So one day we are out there and we could see a storm coming so I brought in the Penns and secured them, brought in the outriggers, and he switched on the radio and cranked up the boat and in we head about 27 miles from home. Halfway home in 5 to 7 foot seas the motor coughs out. He hadn't bought the gas. He was tight on cash and only half filled the Whaler and pocketed the rest. We were going to be in for a really long and rough evening had we not reached a customer of mine by radio who was out that day and came to our location and tossed us a line.

Our friendship didn't end over it but I filled 'er up at the dock before we left port from then on out. The guy was a hoot to know. His wife was really cute and when they had a kid she'd whip out those boobies and feed the kid right there at the dinner table.

We were out with a group one Sunday afternoon at a prominent restaurant when she pulled that trick and I laughed my butt off at half a dozen other guys who stared at the ceiling and floor while talking rather than get a peak at the show. The women all looked at each other instead of her. At least my wife looked at me and when we got back in the car all she said was, "Damn she had nice tits!"

But her husband and I had many a fine day out there. For me deep sea fishing is a Zen moment.

out at free Mason with one twin 150 dropping out of action on the way out to a 3 day binger to chandelier for specks/reds/flounder........

fast forward to sun. morning with a 12 pack left out of 8 cases, i'm on a 27' trying to pull up the waterlogged pelican we carried straddled with two old hungover cats in 5-7 seas. ....took us two freakin' hrs...the ride home was a limb rattling festival....

here's what we do after limping in....we stop at the pete dye course w/o clubs, still drunker than a skunker, rent clubs buy glove and pro Vs looking like the dregs....leave the non golfer passed out in the vehicle and tee off at 100/200 hole....press whenever... that ol' boy never had a chance..

it's amazing we're all still breathing....

how can ya not love the stories...
