Shrinking a ~100,000 stadium to 25,000 seats, there may not be a thing like "cheap seats". Use both A and B deck between the 20 yard lines for active seating with spacing. Place the Band in the South stands beneath the scoreboard and add a huge banner to fill the space of the North stands, just for looks. Still gives the players a nice feel of a somewhat full stadium. Should focus more on the player experience and not the fan experience. I get the money part, I really do, just an opinion.

I have a feeling the students are going to be the ones who are going to get the short end of the stick at OSU.

Yes, you're probably right and I hate that!

I do too. They are the engine than keep Ohio Stadium loud constantly. A big reason why they don't have to pump the sound through the speaker system like they do in Happy Valley.

If the first priority was minimizing the risk of coronavirus spread at the stadium, it would be better to distribute the tickets to students and others who live locally. (Of course, we all know the first priority is money, but let's play along for a minute.)

Any virus spread will be greater if people who live a considerable distance away travel to the stadium for the game and then travel back home. The percentage of people in the stadium who live a long way away from the stadium will be much greater in a scenario where the tickets go to the largest donors and students/faculty/staff get none.

Let's wait till Late July/August to see where the country and especially Ohio is at with this virus.

From the article I read regarding Gene Smith's statement, they were just doing analytical studies on the guidelines Ohio currently has in place. Basically, if they were playing games this Saturday the number's he noted are what would be feasible under Ohio's current guidelines.

Tweets often don't note all the details and many times without all the details are just good ole FAKE NEWS.

You're right, just was using a worse case scenario if games are played as he mentioned in his Tweet, to pass the time. Need things to talk about with all this down time.

I agree that these are all just proactive conditions that could be in place, but nobody really knows what's actually going to happen.

So you're saying these big schools will pick money over safety? Kind of sad to think about, don't you think? Universities and their avaricious ways!

The boosters who buy the most expensive tickets and donate the most money are the reasons why Ohio State's athletic department made $69 million in ticket sales and $34 million in donations in 2018. That's how Ohio State can spend twice as much on athletics as conference mates like Purdue or Maryland. That's why they'll give those football tickets to donors, even if they're coming in from hundreds of miles away, and hope for the best.

I'm agreeing with you 100%. I just wish in this unique situation money wasn't placed 1st. It's not the way the world works and so it goes.

Q: Would Harbaugh win it even under those conditions, though?

Does he get Penn State and Wisconsin at home? If so, then yes. If not then he is third again.

Maybe the Buckeyes should let him win one time... I hear it's really making him angry!
