Majerle
Interesting to see where this goes. It'll also be interesting to see where Majerle goes next.

RE: Majerle
I wish he would come back to the state of Michigan, but he’s pretty embedded in Arizona.

RE: Majerle
As I look at the name Majerle, I still don't know how/why it is pronounced "Marley."

Nickle something obviously outside basketball happened here, his coaching record was too admirable to dump him after only one bad season. He also is a basketball legend in the state, could you see U-D firing Bill Laimbeer had he taken their coaching job and produced similar results? Only a Bicari Alexander or Ron English type mistake would logically prompt this reaction.

I'm thinking that the Grand Canyon administration bungled this one. Perhaps the atmosphere of his program had become toxic, after all that is where we got Toure. Maybe he was a loose cannon and the administration tired of him when he suddenly achieved a losing record. Whatever the reason, you sit with the guy and negotiate a buyout. Now that he has filed a lawsuit, any of his transgressions made public will also blow back on the University as well since he was their employee. Not good, ask Penn State.

Maybe they don't know how to spell. You remember Laveranues Coles? They pronounced it Laverneus.

Brett Favre and Dwyane Wade agree.
