ESPN article on UTEP about CUSA-SBC says these sports dropped. I see ODU wrestling on the list but not FIU men's indoor track

Florida International (men's indoor track) and Old Dominion (wrestling)

Its being reported that UCONN is laying the groundwork to literally eliminate 8 of its 24 athletic programs, yes a full one third which would be the largest such cut in sports history. AhhhhAhhhh

Wonder if Edsall regrets parting ways with O'Leary.

Damn. Maybe schools without football are better off? So far during the Covid-19 craze only two teams cut from a Division 1 institution (Wisconsin-Green Bay m and w tennis) that doesn't play football.

Neither is Sonoma State as well.

True, but UAH and Sonoma State are Division 2 in everything else. So I'm technically not wrong either.

Of course other Division 2 non-football schools have been hit though.

Even the Ivy League is not immune (no pun intended). Brown drops 11 sports to club status: m/w fencing, m/w golf, women's skiing, m/w squash, equestrian, men's cross country, men's indoor/outdoor track & field; also moving sailing up to varsity.

Wow!

Brown had sponsored 38 sports - third highest in the country - now down to 29

Did Chicago State ever figure out their mess of a situation? Feel like it's been a while since we all had a good laugh about that one.

I played a club sport throughout college, both undergrad and while getting my master's. While it might not have the same prestige as a varsity sport, we still had practices, traveled for games, coaches, etc where the experience is still a ton of fun.
