Do you support mandatory masks in public?
Given that this has become the political hot button issue the last week or two, do you support anywhere from local to federal government legislation that would require you to wear a facemask at all times when in public, including outdoors?

I was just interested to see where everyone lies on this.

RE: Do you support mandatory masks in public?
The minimal research that I have done shows that masks have more of a negative impact than a positive impact on people's health during this virus.

RE: Do you support mandatory masks in public?
Why is common sense so f-ing lost on people.

If you are outside and can maintain 6+ feet (or whatever) you don;t need to wear a mask. If you are walking into a public building - Doesn't it kinda just make sense for now that you cover your face for your own good and those of others around you?

I think wearing a mask sucks and it is your ultimate choice to wear one, but FFS have some common sense and courtesy (and respect for others).

Agree with GrayBeard. The jury is out on how effective they are and in some cases they can be harmful by restriction O2 and leading to excess CO2.

And add in "they" are saying you can wear a cloth mask as an option is even more of a reason to leave it to the individual as cloth masks aren't really doing much of anything.

No.

They aren't effective, they can actually do more harm than good (the average person is constantly fondling it), and frankly, those wearing them look like idiots.

I'll wear one for now while out in public; however, in no way do I believe wearing a mask should be mandatory.

if the virus can exist on surfaces and said masks are mishandled (which is a given), you'd have to be a dipshite to not understand the residual impact of other 'surface contamination/transference....

we've inherited dum-dum peter principle land...

at least I know who the real posers are....

If a private business requires it then that’s fine. What’s not fine is a governor demanding everyone wear masks in public. That’s strictly unconstitutional

RE: Do you support mandatory masks in public?
The only ones that should be mandated to wear masks are the people preparing your food and the ones handing it to you. They don't have to cover their noses with them only their mouths. How many of you have been driving and talking with the sun at your face and even though you don't think you spittle are surprised that you actually are? Same thing happens all the time in restaurants or cafes. That's a lot of spittle on your food if you think about it. They ALL should cover their mouths with a cloth or mask if they work in the food industry.

Not outdoors ever w/ the exception of large-group events like stadiums..

If they're required, more things should be able to open. They either work or they don't.

I saw a guy today wearing a mask, by himself, walking down his long driveway to check the mail. There was no one within 1/2 mile of the guy.

Have seen women, by themselves, walking around tracks at parks with masks on. No one within 100 yards of them.

I seriously think some of these people think Corona is in the air they breathe when they leave their homes.

It’s paranoid insanity brought to you by your Government and MSM.
